Dr. Cheryce Manore Poon, MD

I wouldn’t recommend this dr. My recent experience left me feeling terrified about a test result that ultimately was inaccurate and caused more stress than anything else. She was unreachable and her department made no attempt to gain access to my prior records even though I authorized it.

Long story, short: I'm a young female who recently discovered a lump on my breast. I went to get images, and after my visit with Dr. Fisher, was supposed to schedule a follow up procedure with Radiology for a biopsy of the lump. When I called scheduling, the order for my follow up procedure was an aspiration, not a biopsy. This was not the same procedure that had been discussed with me on my initial appointment, and I refused to make an appointment for an unknown procedure that I had never heard of. After two weeks, Dr. Fisher finally called me back. Dr. Fischer (i) said that she didn't talk to me on the date of my initial appointment to get images taken (even though I called the office and confirmed Dr. Fischer's name); (ii) she refused to believe I was instructed to make a follow up procedure for a biopsy, not an aspiration, (although i had hard copy, paper instructions that proved differently); (iii) said the doctor I actually needed to get a hold of won't be available for two weeks… (which is untrue, because the schedulers at Radiology just told me the other doctor is back from PTO and can call me within 2 business days); and then (iv) hung up on me mid-sentence when I was reasonably expressing my concerns. I'm not one to write reviews, but this was such a disregard for someone's life and well being. This was by far the most unprofessional experience I've ever had.
