Cheryl Bauer

Hello! My name is Cheryl Bauer, I'm excited to meet you and work with you on your therapy goals.

I have a great deal of experience working with adults struggling with addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship problems. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and it's not easy to navigate emotional turmoil alone. We all need help and support during difficult times, and it is important to be able to process our emotions with someone who can provide compassion, insight, and understanding in order to regain a sense of inner peace and healing.

I believe in empowering people to reach their full potential by providing services that are strengths-based, practical, holistic, and focused on promoting long-lasting change. I strive to create a supportive, trusting, and safe therapeutic relationship in which people can heal from their trauma, reconnect with themselves, and realize their goals. I work using a style of fostering trust and authenticity, starting where people …want and ending when people feel their lives and issues have changed and their happiness enhanced. I believe the relationship in counseling is the core issue in treatment. I believe healing comes through the mind, body, and spirit connection. I utilize an eclectic approach emphasizing collaboration with the client to make reasonable and specific goals and empowering clients to make needed changes.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking in nature, watching movies, learning, spending quality time with my dogs, and on occasion going to concerts.
