Dr. Cheryl A Boyd, DO

We moved from out of state and I based our new pediatrician off reviews. I took our son in for his first apt. and I was not impressed with the office. It seemed dirty to me, then the staff was talking and didn't really pay attention to us. Dr. Boyd didn't have the bed side manner at all that our wonderful pediatrician before did. I decided to keep looking but the office I wanted wasn't seeing new children. My son breaks out in a rash, I was sure it was a grass allergy because he had fell in the grass while playing in the sprinklers and it was exactly where he fell that broke out. I took him back to Dr. Boyd. I waited an hour to see her and when she came in I told her what happened and what I thought it was at least 3 times. She said it looks viral we will just watch it. I said are you sure, it is exactly where he fell in the grass. She said nope viral just watch it. I called back to request a call back from someone and no one ever called me. I bought some Benadryl gave my 2 year old… 1ml and it was gone the next day. Since then he has been playing in the back yard and got the same rash immediately after and I treat it with Benadryl. I was taking him to Dr. Boyd because I wanted to see if there was something else we could give him since Benadryl isn't recommended. I paid $25.00 to wait an hour be told it was viral and not get a call back. I won't go back.

I went to Dr Boyd as I worked for several years in another Owasso Clinic and she came highly recommended. Within 5 minutes of her being in the room with my son she suggested Prozac. When I said what about Behavior therapy, she came back with sarcasm as she walked out the door. She said, I can see that's working well for ya. Two weeks later I still haven't received a referral to a Therapist. Now I owe her $240 for Sarcasm. I would never take my child to her again.

Dr. Boyd is exceptionally knowledgeable. However, I was unhappy with the comments made about prior patients- leaving me with the though "what do they say about me!" Office staff can be harsh and condescending- missing an appointment is a capital offense and you will be treated as such.

We were new patients and for our first appointment the doctor was off and not even present. The staff didn't know about our appt and treated us terribly as they were inconvenienced. It was a terrible experience and the nurse wouldn't even make eye contact with us. I have heard wonderful things about the doctor but I will not return due to the staff and her nurse.
