Dr. Cheryl Lynn Cook, MD

Dr. Cook became my pediatrician after Dr Dansby left. I have never had any complaints of the treatment we’ve received by Dr. Cook or any of the other physicians at Tri State Peds. They are all very caring and treat their patients with the utmost respect. If they are concerned that there is something wrong with your child, they are on top of it. I am very thankful that the doctors there are through and want to get down to what the underlying issue is. If there’s nothing wrong, then thank goodness, but I would rather them do tests and find nothing, then them not do anything and send the patients home sick and possibly have to be hospitalized later.

Dr.Cook is wonderful-very caring and takes the time to listen-this is very important when you have two patients w/ very unique problems and needs! She goes out of ehr way to help us-Thank you sooo much Dr.Cook!!! :)

Dr. Cook is a very nice Dr., however, she seems to over tests her patients when they are fine. echo's, specialists in cincinnati and colombus and 3 day stays in the hospital are common occurrences. I had an infant with GERD, was placed in the hospital for 3 days during RSV season simply for tests that could have been done on an outpatient basis. My infant was gaining wt and growing according to the growth charts. Still we were sent to Cincinnati for an eval and they basically looked at me like why are you here. Then, when my infant had a fever Dr. Cook heard a murmur for the first time (a fairly common thing in infants with a higher heart rate from a fever). An echo was ordered and came back fine, but this wasn't enough for cook. We were recommended to see a Heart Specialists from Colombus even though she was not symptomatic for any heart conditions or from the murmur. At this point, we switched Pediatricians.

Dr. Cook is absolutely wonderful. She's thorough, nice, spends TONS of time in the room, and does everything possible to get to the point of the problem. LOVE HER!!
