Dr. Cheryl Christine Farmer, MD

My wife and I have been extremely pleased with Dr. Farmer in the 20 years during which we have been her patients. She always spends as much time as needed with us, and she is very "proactive" in trying to anticipate any problems. She knows that we don't make any frivolous requests and hence will usually see us within a day if necessary. Dr. Farmer's office staff and her assistant are always very professional and courteous. Highly recommended!

My mother in law goes to Dr. Farmer and on one occasion went in saying she felt like she had Bronchitis or similar. Now, she has had Bronchitis before and knows what if feels like. She even showed some sputum to this Dr. and also has a history of COPD. The Dr. wanted to do a sputum sample even though admittedly said the sputum looked green and appeared to be an infection. After 5 days, my mother in law was feeling worse and called the Dr. to find out the results. They were positive and not one person in that office called to inform her nor called in a script for a 70+ yr. old woman who has the above history. We are in the process of finding a new dr.

I have see Dr. Farmer for years. She has always taken time with me. She listens to what I'm saying and asks follow-up questions/does tests to get at the cause of the problem. She has always treated me with respect/dignity and has believed what I've told her. She takes me seriously-not like a number. I have recommended her to several people.

Both me and one of my friends see Dr. Farmer and we're both equally disappointed. She seems not to prepare for appointments, doesn't read even the most basic results, and is generally indifferent to patients' concerns. I don't recommend her even for basic tests, let alone for REAL questions about medicine that a medical doctor should be able to address.
