Dr. Cheryl Kienzle, MD

My child was a patient for years. Upon moving and a insurance change, a bill was missed for a 3 month period. My child is healthy and goes for yearly physicals. My phone number did not change. I did not receive a phone call at any point to inquire why the bill was missed. My child was released from the practice over a $200 bill that clearly should have been covered by insurance had it been submitted correctly. The front desk staff is flat and unfriendly. Not a child friendly atmosphere. The doctors are knowledgable and this is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. I will not take my newborn back to this practice. They did however inform me - that child was welcome BUT my child who was a patient for 7 years was no longer welcome. If you have more than one insurance and God Forbid you move, don't use this practice. They had the audacity to tell me I should be apologizing to them. Forget it.

I feel lucky to have had Dr. Kienzle as my children's doctor. My daughter has been a relatively easy patient. The only concern was talking about her BMI - which I think the Dr. did quite skillfully as it can be a difficult topic to cover. My son has a longer health history and Dr. Kienzle gave me time, expertise, and an excellent diagnosis every time. She is not quick to give an antibiotic and I appreciate her care in this regard. My wait time has been exceptional every time. We have even be lucky to get same day appts for issues that have been urgent. Overall, I highly recommend this Dr. and this practice.

The front desk staff is mediocre at best. You feel as if you're a number as opposed to a patient. In this case this is made worse as the patient is your child. They do not accept credit or even debit cards. Cash or check only. Once you get into the examination room, the wait can get quite long. After Dr. Kienzle arrives, she barely addresses the parents leaving you left out and omitting a critical component of the examination as most kids will not be specific in their explanation of what's going on. I've had to return for a second visit on many occasions as the Doctor did not accurately or fully diagnose the promblem at the first visit.

This is a 2 doctor practice (only 1 doctor seems to work at any given time) that has a good location, but everything else about the practice is mediocre at best.The staff behind the counter are cold. You have to sit in one small waiting area for quite a while before getting an acknowledgement.The wait after getting into the exam room is quite long as well. Having said this, I wouldn't mind if the doctors were top notch. My kids, when sick or at annual visits, got perfunctory exams with generic care that lacked any skill or caring. Getting through on the phone is difficult.Staff are rude.No sick patient waiting area - you and your kids are crowded into one small room.Definitely would not recommend this practice.

I called this doctor when I moved to the area and they accepted my children into the practice. I had our records transferred from the previous pediatrician and was told I was in. A month later this doctor refused to see my 5 year old son without a physical on a Friday afternoon when he was sick. My son had a double ear infection and I had to take him to the emergency room.
