Dr. Cheryl L Malick, DDS

Cheryl L. Malick, DMD is a twenty-six year resident of Naples and a graduate of Barron Collier High School.  She achieved undergraduate honors at the University of Florida where she received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences with a minor in Biomedical Engineering.  Thereafter, she graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry with Research Honors in 2001. 
Dr. Malick is passionate about her profession and committed to ongoing continuing education.  This ensures Dental Excellence offers patients state-of-the-art dental materials, techniques, and technologies to fit their personal needs and comfort.  Most people do not know that advanced comprehensive aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry is not taught in dental school.  That is where LVI  (Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies) has stepped in to train dentists in the latest cosmetic and neuromuscular techniques.  LVI trains dentists in the most up-to-date clinical procedures, how to use the latest …and most advanced technology and other comprehensive training procedures.

 Dr. Malick’s commitment to offering elite patient care is shared by her highly-skilled team members’ continuing education as well.  The Dental Excellence Team recently attended the IACA (International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics) Conference, and attended LVI several times  for advanced aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry training.
Dr. Malick also has an interest in forensic odontology and has been certified by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) in their Dental Coding Program.  This program certifies select dentists to aide law enforcement and serves the community in the proper identification of teeth in both missing and unidentified persons' cases to ideally bring closure to previously unsolved cases.  Dr. Malick is also a member of the FBI's  National Dental Image Review Board, and aides the FBI in the dental coding of missing and unidentified persons' cases.  In addition Dr. Malick is a member of the Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations Response System.  This state organization is deployed after catastrophic events (such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes) to identify the victims.

Dental Excellence was established by Dr. Malick in 2003; offering a wide-array of services including veneers, porcelain crowns and onlays, dentures and partials, neuromuscular occlusion / TMJ therapy, white bonded fillings, Zoom whitening, Pure Power Mouthguards, dental cleanings and preventative care, digital x-rays, and digital imaging with intra-oral cameras for you to view your before and after treatment progress on a flat screen monitor during your visits!
