Dr. Cheryl Eileen Mcdonough

Dr. Cheryl McDonough is a different kind of dentist. Since early adolescence, Dr. McDonough has known she was going to pursue a profession in dentistry. With the innate wish to help others, she believes that a dental visit should be a positive experience and takes the time to address her patient’s needs.  It is her thoroughness and attention to detail that she is well regarded for by patients and fellow colleagues. She is committed to the prevention and early detection of dental disease by using a comprehensive, caring and gentle approach.
Dr. McDonough is a board-certified General Dentist practicing for over 14 years.  After obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from San Diego State University, she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University.  She holds current dental licenses in the state of California as well as Massachusetts.  She is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental …Society.
After establishing her own private dental office in the Bay Area for several years, she and her husband decided that the best quality of life for the long term would be to raise their daughter in San Clemente.
Her areas of interest are the connection between the mouth as a window to the health of the body and the study of dynamic advances in the fields of Restorative, Cosmetic and Implant dentistry.  Having over hundreds of hours of postdoctoral education and years of training and experience, Dr. McDonough believes that her role is to provide the highest standard of dental care that endures.  It is with education and maintenance, she helps you maintain it.  Creating healthy beautiful smiles for all ages is what she does best.
