Dr. Cheryl Dawn Short, MD

She was recommended as I had a lot of issues going on which caused some anxiety and depression as well as the female ones. I waited for months to get in and sat in the waiting room for an hour for a ten minute appointment. Because of some difficulties in life, I had to file chapter 13 bankruptcy the following year. When I went for my annual exam, I was told I had to pay out of pocket before they would do my exam because I filed bankruptcy and that's their policy. I have medical insurance that covers my yearly exams. This was awful and didn't make sense. Especially because I didn't have an outstanding balance with them. I felt completely humiliated and felt this was very unfair. Just wrong and unprofessional. Speaks volumes regarding the amount of care patients receive.

I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Short! I couldn’t ask for a better doctor to bring my baby into the world. She is kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. I felt overwhelming trust in her.

I'm very surprised with all these positive reviews. I have friends that have seen dr. Short and she has done several mistakes. My experience with her is that she miscalculated my son's due date so he was born too early. She also ignored warnings that I had of a PE and didn't believe me. She used to be fine but I think she has definelty gone downhill as a doctor. I would go elsewhere, there are plenty of other great OB's in the area. The office is very unfriendly, I mean who doesn't say hi to a patient when they come in? They hide behind the glass and won't even greet you or place you on hold forever.

I've been with Dr. Short for years now and I am so happy! She delivered my first son and was so great! The only thing is the wait time for her is a while because everyone goes to her but she is worth it!

Dr. Short is by far the best doctor that ive seen yet for gynecology! I have been seeing her as my dr for atleast 14 years, she has a way of making you understand your issues as well as talking to your daughters about their sexual health! Thank you for being so easy to talk with about my issues!

Dr. Short really cares about her patients. She is super knowledgeable and spends the time she needs with you. It is easy to talk to her and scan explain your condition and treatments options to you.

For 16 years i had issues with my menstral cycle. Many doctors and thousands of dollars later i was reffered to Dr Short by the ER. For the first time in my adult life someone listened to me about my complaints and worries about my problems for once I found this amazing doctor who did all the tests she could think of to figure out what my deal was. 16 years later i finally have a name to my problem and a treatment plan. Thank you. I totally recommed this women to everyone that I know. You are a pretty awesome doctor!

I waited 4 months to get an actual appointment with her after an ER consult which is why I chose her at all. Dr. Short is a very good doctor and the issue isn't with her but with her staff. I left several voicemails to get an appointment. Meanwhile I had lab orders that were completed through her as I waited for the appointment. Finally the day before my appointment the nurse for this DR called to say that my medicaid wasn't accepted and that I had to change it in order to see Dr. Short. It took them this long to figure it out????? Not happy, and changed doctors because of it.

Dr. Short is very rude and did not care about my situation.
