Dr. Cheryl Lim Taitano, MD

I have seen "Dr. Cheryl Taitano" on more than one occasion. The first diagnosis was incorrect and resulted in undue pain for almost a week before her colleague corrected her miss-diagnosis and provided the proper medication. When I kept calling stating my symptoms had not improved, I was told to simply wait it out and let it run it's course. In this case, running it's course, meant let the condition progress and further pain the patient in this case me, with a normal 104 fever, all according to Cheryl. Something even common sense contradicts. I naively thought that we all make mistakes, and went in for a second visit about six (6) months later. On the second visit, Cheryl miss-read my symptoms and got angry when I corrected her real time. Any coughing she asked? I replied with a yes, and she said ok, so no. I stopped her and corrected her to a 'yes'. She then provided a diagnosis that I challenged. She asked what I thought was going on, to which I replied, you're the MD, not me;… that's why I am here. We rechecked my temperature at my request and it had gone up 2.0 degrees F while I was in the waiting room for 30 minutes. I asked if that concerned her and she changed her recommendation from a cold to the flu and stormed out to her laptop. She couldn't answer basis logical questions as to the rationale for her decisions and was quick to disappear when I wouldn't take her word as gospel. All MDs are required to take the Hyppacratic Oath to help and never hurt the patient. She has on several occasions hurt and become defensive when a cognizant patient questions her actions and holds her accountable. There are multiple documented reviews on this behavior. This is just unacceptable in today's world with modern premier standards. Please reflect on this, and act in accordance with your oath even if that means resigning your practice that you cannot fulfill.

Spent no time--less than 2 minutes- rude-did not allow me enough time to explain exactly where my pain was-poked in the area and said my sore was very very tiny-tiny-felt like she was belittling my pain-I went to my own Dr. 2 days later and had a large abscess that had to be drained and put on oral antibiotics--she gave me only drops-gave me a prescription as I was invited to stand next to her at the desk-attire inappropriate for serving as a doctor-seemed more interested in flouncing her fashionista attire and large diamond-good for her-but inappropriate in an Urgent care Clinic-I have rocks for the fingers too but people she treats are mostly poor

A physician who is more concerned with typing things into a laptop while sort of talking with a patient and faxing prescriptions off to local pharmacies before even completing the visit... especially when downplaying different drug interactions... is not a good set of qualities in a family physician. They are much more associated with band-aid (urgent care) doctors.
