Cheryl Wegelin

I provide a warm and supportive approach to help people address difficult issues like grief, trauma, significant health issues, end of life, depression and adjusting to major life changes. I have a background in working in outpatient therapy, emergency departments, an acute rehab center, medical units, centers for disabilities and inpatient psychiatric units for adolescents, adults and seniors. I have also been in leadership positions where I have provided supervision and training for staff. Many individuals I serve have a number of significant concerns that they are working to address, including addictions, eating disorders, self-harming or other behavioral patterns that they have developed as a way of trying to cope with the distress caused by their conditions and experiences. I have training in trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, grief, crisis intervention, caregiver issues and chronic pain management. I have an extensive history in individual, family and group counseling, …as well as crisis intervention. I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and Bachelor's in Social Work, as well as certificates in Trauma-Informed Care, DBT, Verbal Judo Instructor, and Auricular Acupuncture.
