Dr. Chester Enoch Bartram JR., MD

I have been going to Dr. Bartram for about 40 years and find him caring, thorough, competent, and always willing to help and discuss the issue at hand. He visits his patients who are hospitalized nearly every day which sometimes causes the waiting at his office be long because he is at the hospital. I spent 42 days in the hospital once and he didn't miss many visiting me to check progress.

I moved to OH 7 weeks ago and wanted to establish a relationship with a primary care physician. I had a couple of prescriptions from my previous Dr. in Michigan. His nurse was very nice , took my weight and bp as expected. I filled out 3 pages of health history forms. Dr Bertram came in and I was a bit shocked at how old he was. The first thing he asked me was “ are you taking Steroids?” Whaaattt... no. And then asked if I had high blood pressure. Wait.... didn’t your nurse just take it like 3 minutes ago? Nooo... I do not. He had no computer and wrote his chicken scratch all over a scrap of paper. He has no personality and questionable medical knowledge from this century. He said he would send 30 day rx refills and wanted to follow up in a month. Well that was Thurs. and now on Monday there was nothing sent to pharmacy. When I called his office they looked up notes and said my rx was denied. I have never come up against this - ever.

The best doctor I have ever had.

Dr. Bartram is a quiet person, not effusive. It can sometimes be read as not having a warm bedside manner. But he is caring, thorough, deeply knowledgeable and honest. A contemporary physician with the old school dedication. He sees his practice as ministry to the while person.
