Dr. Chet Mason Gentry, MD

Dr. Gentry delivered both my children, he and his staff also saved my son's and my life! My son was born with the am biblical cord wrapped around his neck and had some respiratory problems when he saw there was nothing else he could do due to the equipment in the hospital, he sent my son to Vanderbilt he didn't wait around like most Dr.'s would have. He is a good hearted Dr. and does truly care about his patient's he has prayed with me many times and when my mother and grandmother-n law passed. He is sincere, and he and his staff will request things to be done ex: blood labs, mammograms, ex-rays, ultra sounds etc. that need to be done without waiting until something goes majorly wrong! I can't express enough how much this Dr. made an impact on my life! My spleen shut down and without his staff and himself I would not be around to see the 2 children he delivered for me so with that being said I am truly blessed to have him as a Dr., and I am sure anyone of any age would be comfortable… having him as a Dr. As I see the next questions sometimes you have to wait but he is well worth it!!!

Let's see, if you want an office that is highly unorganized and it takes 3 people including an office manager to see if they are accepting new patients and then to schedule an appointment, this is the place for you. If you want an office manager that doesn't know how to manage her staff and make sure everyone has the right information about whether they're accepting new patients pick this place. But, most importantly, if you want an office manager to bulldoze you and not listen to you and then hang up on you because she is incompetent at being able to take a client calling her out on not listening then definitely, this place is for you. Oh and one more, if you want a place that is not going to apologize for the confusion caused by them in their office over something simple as scheduling, and someone who isn't going to try to fight to keep you as a potential money maker for their company then by all means, go there. I have NEVER been so ill treated by a company before, much less an… office manager. I bet she wouldn't have acted like that if the doctor was actually in. If it were me, I'd have a line that was recorded so that I could hear how my staff were treating my clients and potential clients. (And if I could, I wouldn't even give it any stars.

Dr Gentry is threes most compassionate doctor in Cookeville. I highly recommend him.

He is, in large part, responsible for the death of my mother. She went into the hospital for an evaluation and ended up on a wide variety of drugs, including, Coumadin, from which she nearly died. If I had known how disreputable Dr. Gentry was, I would never have allowed her to be in his hospital. I have regretted that decision ever since.
