Dr. Chetanna Ijeoma Okasi, MD

Not a pleasant experience at all despite all the Christian quotes in the office.

Dr. Okasi. Let me tell you, I have never EVER had someone in a professional setting speak to me the way she did. Her practice lied to me & told me I was going to get HSV 1 & 2 tested but never did, but they tested me for COVID through my blood without my knowledge. I emailed her practice and shortly after I sent the email I got a call from a blocked number. It was Dr. Osaki. She thought by keeping her tone sweet it would change the words coming from her disrespectful mouth. I was very to the point and forward. Not rude by any means. From the beginning this woman did not let me speak! Constantly interrupting me to the point of me asking “may I please finish my sentence before you speak over me?” I expressed to her my concerns, how I was lied to, told I was going to get tested OH and how they tested me for COVID WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE through my blood but failed to test me for what I ACTUALLY asked for!! I expressed that there is no way I should be having such a difficult time at her… practice within less than two weeks with the disrespect and lack of communication throughout the whole practice and how I have lost hope of this practice to help figuring out my pelvic pain issues. Dr. Osaki had a long pause and said “I would never speak to you the way you’re speaking to me” I said “hold up.. this whole time I have barely been able to get a word in because you are continuously interrupting me and speaking over me. I have been very forward and to the point this whole conversation and have not been disrespectful or rude in any such way, you are not going to falsely accuse me of talking to you in that way because ma’am you have been the one who hasn’t let me get a word in” she also told me that maybe I don’t have to go on my lunch break and see if my blood is still good. She said blood is normally good for ten days I said but this is the tenth day? Why wouldn’t you communicate that with the front desk lady, saying you could possibly use my blood from 10 days ago instead of stressing me out thinking I am going to have to miss work? Then was told later on I had to go in at 1pm because there phlebotomist would be on her lunch at 12:45pm.. extremely inconsiderate. Dr. Okasi is honestly an AWFUL human being, how can you be so degrading, hear me out Ms. it’s YOUR practice doing the wrong doings, I am just asking questions on why. Don’t give me lip when I do not deserve it and your whole practice is EXTREMELY FLAWED. Lack of communication, professionalism, respect, concern. Literally anything degrading you can think of Dr. Okasi’s name is first in the dictionary for any of those definitions. I can not believe there are health care professionals out there like her. Never have I ever been talked to/looked down upon from a health professional while expressing your concerns. Awful, awful woman that doesn’t care about you or even her appearance or value to others. She just wants your money and for you to not ask any questions. A shame her practice is a private practice, it should be shut down. I am still in disbelief she has not one but TWO practices that are still running. Maybe learn how to treat people properly and your practice will have better than a slightly higher than a 2 star rating at your Columbia practice. As well as a slightly higher rating than 3 star at her greenbelt practice.Such a disrespectful, awful woman. If you like disorganization, disrespect, being lied to, mislead, made to feel like you’re lesser than then this is the place for you!! Do yourself a favor and listen to all the bad reviews, they are honest. I was not able to type up the full story so here is a condensed version.. Biggest unnecessary headache of two weeks due to unorganized and miss communication through this practice. This practice should be closed down, I don’t understand how Dr. Okasi has two locations and are still running. This is the most unethical, unprofessional, disrespectful, dishonest practice and experience I have ever experienced in a professional setting and practice. They tested me for COVID through my blood WITHOUT my knowledge, they lied to me and told me they were going to give me an STD check for HSV 1 & 2 but did not, rescheduled me to get the HSV 1 & 2 test after I said something, was told I could come anytime, verified if I could come at 12:45pm during my lunch so I wouldn’t miss anymore work than I already have and they said 1pm cause the person who draws blood is taking there lunch! What inconsideration.. I got lip from the owner Dr. Okasi because I was expressing my concerns in a well mannered way and was told by her “I would never speak to you the way you’re speaking to me” even though she did much worse and I wasn’t being rude at all! My boyfriend is my witness. when literally all she did was interrupt me since the beginning of our conversation but I still kept my cool. I was falsely told many things and was continuously lied to, they never return your calls when they say they will by the end of the day and told me the wrong time for my video appointment and didn’t send the link until 7 minutes AFTER my scheduled video appointment and after verifying 3 times the day before my appointment was as at 3:15p not 3:30pm This is a very unorganized, unprofessional, degrading practice with one awful DR. OKASI running it. The people she hires are just as bad.

She cut my urethra tube during a hysterectomy. After the surgery, she left the hospital and didn’t even debrief with my family nor did she have a nurse to do so. She called my husband’s cell phone to tell him I did well and she had to go to another case. After much pain and suffering after a week or so after the surgery, she finally had me come in. She asked me “how much pain did you expect to have”. She was dismissive and reluctantly sent me to a CT scan after I told her “I’m someone that can handle pain, so if I’m screaming something is wrong”. The CT scan was inconclusive or so I was told. I lost hope in her caring so I never went back because it was obvious she was not taking any ownership of care or operating with a duty of care. After 3 months I was diagnosed by a urologist after experiencing so much pain I ended up a Urgent Care in the middle of the day who sent me to the specialist. Urine was backing up in my kidneys all that time. 4 surgeries and 7 years later I gained… some normalcy I would never recommend her. She is dismissive and lacks duty of care.

Future patient should be careful. It is all about money there. They will reschedule your appointment without any reason. They will push you to schedule a visit if you want to get in touch with the doctor. Dr. Okasi will listen to her staff and won't care about patient's opinion....

Be careful about asking any questions outside of your visit issue or you will be charged again. No test results will be given until you make an appointment to discuss. Will not talk to you over the phone unless its about a payment. She is making up for her missed income in whatever way possible since she not performing deliveries any more. Research procedures before you do anything unnecesarily.

Dr. Okasi was a nice doctor but I didn't appreciate that she went against what she told me during my appointment and wanted me to come in and get more money out of me just to tell me my results. I will not be returning to her practice.

Many thanks to Dr Okasi ! My wife , Oanh Bui , used to be her patient in Maryland . We are now living in Hosuton , TX but we still think about her all the time with courteous and very professional manner .

Unprofessional, refuses to take patient's opinion into consideration. Refuses to follow through on approved operations.

I went tot he office in Ellicott City, Dr. Okasi's staff was warm and friendly.If someone had a bead experience with her I am almost sure it was them. She is caring, passionate and gentle in her work. She deals with health issues aggressively to assure accurate and immediate care. I would tell everyone who needs an OBGYN about her. She is the best I have ever had.
