Dr. Chen received her D.D.S. degree from Chinese Medical University School of Dental Medicine, Taiwan, in 1998. She then completetd a two year General Practice Residency at the dental department of Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital in Taipei.  Her post graduate endodontic training was completed in 2002 at Columbia University, School of Dental Medicine.  She then joined the full-time faculty of School of Dental Medicine, Columbia University, from 2002 to 2007.
