Dr. Chinedum Christian Nathan, MD

In 2018 my father was admitted to Kaiser after suffering a stroke. Dr. Nathan was one of the doctors who cared for him. I was very impressed with his manner assessing my dad and in talking with my family, getting additional information that would serve, along with medical history, to give him a very good picture of my father's health. We looked to him for medical guidance and care for my dad. Last year my mom was admitted to the same hospital and we were so glad to see Dr. Nathan come into the room. He took the same care with my mother that he had with my father. She was put at ease with a stressful situation because of Dr. Nathan's manner of care. and because we knew him from caring for my father. He was very skillful in asking questions that would give him the information that he needed to make a diagnosis, yet never intrusive. He has a very calming presence. He speaks to the patient and family members, seeing them, and the health situation, recognizing that stress levels rise at… times like this. My mother has been admitted several more times since then, and each time Dr. Nathan has looked in on her and checked on her care and progress. I did notice that the nurses and others were respectful to him, which made me feel that he knows what he is doing. I appreciate his attentiveness to my parents and concern for making sure they were well taken care of! He is a genuine person and I would be relieved if I ever had to be hospitalized to see him walk in the room as my hospital doctor.
