One star is being generous. I truly wish vitals.com allowed zero stars. There is a reason this provider’s reviews are overwhelmingly negative, and quite frankly, it is embarrassing for anyone who practices medicine because his bedside manner is beyond terrible. Last night, I waited over two hours with my three-year-old daughter to be seen. The nurse who took her vitals was kind, compassionate, and immediately commented on how miserable my daughter looked. She noted a low-grade fever and stated she strongly suspected flu or strep, and asked if she could go ahead and test her. Of course, I agreed. Approximately 30 minutes later, Dr. Van entered the room and stated that the tests were negative. He then snarkily asked, “Does this look like a sick child to you? Because this doesn’t look like a sick child to me, and I know sick children. I see them all the time.” I explained that my daughter had been experiencing worsening symptoms for over two weeks — including a persistent, worsening… productive cough, decreased appetite, thick green nasal discharge, and increasing congestion — and that the night before, her breathing had become difficult due to the severity of it. I also expressed concern because she was hospitalized with RSV as an infant and her breathing tends to deteriorate quickly. He performed what felt like a very rushed and minimal exam. He did not acknowledge the heart murmur she is scheduled to be evaluated for by cardiology next week. He dismissed everything as “just allergies,” stated it was all upper airway, and began to stand as though the visit was over. I asked if antibiotics were necessary, and his response was, “I can assure you she gets more than enough antibiotics from her food.” This comment was not only inappropriate but ignorant, considering he has no knowledge of her diet, but also I would like to see the clinical data on this subject to support his assumptions. He then said, “Okay, we’re all done,” and walked out. That night, my daughter’s condition worsened. Her cough kept her awake, and her temperature spiked to 102. Trusting my instincts, I took her to another doctor the following day. She received a thorough examination (during which her heart murmur was immediately noted) and was diagnosed with a severe sinus infection. She was prescribed antibiotics and a steroid breathing treatment for her nebulizer. This experience was unacceptable. Families deserve to be treated with respect, taken seriously, and provided with thoughtful, compassionate, and competent medical care. After reading the numerous similar reviews, I am shocked our healthcare system allows a provider to practice medicine who continues making disparaging remarks to his patients and their family. If White-Wilson does not already audio record patient appointments, I strongly encourage them to do so. Encounters like this should be reviewed for quality and accountability. My hope is that this review prevents another parent from having their concerns dismissed and encourages White-Wilson to reevaluate how this provider interacts with patients. Compassion and professionalism should never be optional in healthcare.

Waited long time but dr spent only few minutes checking me. Nice but unsure if need new meds! Been ill for almost two weeks and need to return for better diagnosis and treatment!
