Dr. Chintan A Parikh, MD

My fiance and I both visited this physician this past week. This was our first, and likely our only/last visit. This physician is overworked, and overbooked. We originally went his bigger central office at the old hospital. Wrong office from what the text/confirmation email stated. Luckily we had ample time to make it back to our side of town to his other office. Once there we waited in queue whilst three other patients stated they too went to the "wrong" other office. This was bad organization on part of this office. Not a great start to meeting a new doctor. We were seen as a couple to cut down on time as we were told by his nurse. I've never had this done to date. My fiance suffers from what we think is likely a peptic ulcer, or something like that. She has had two CT scans, and angiogram no odd findings. The only recommendation was a colonoscopy. Prior to paying out the $ for that type of procedure why not see if the root cause might be an ulcer? My issue was more of the same. I… had a colon resection 2.5 years ago and things haven't been great afterwards. All I was told was eat more fiber (which hurts) and get yet again another colonoscopy. I'm not saying his advice is flat out wrong, but there wasn't any attempt to try anything other than ordering expensive invasive testing. This appointment we waited for six months. Look folks, do yourselves a favour...drive to OKC, or Dallas and go to a better less overbooked physician that will take the time to chat with you prior to rushing you out the door to get to the next patient. This is exactly why people have awful opinions of the medicine in our great country...its all $ driven. We spent $500 to get a medical opinion my cat could've given me.

Beware! Using Dr. Parikh may be the last thing you do. Currently I am writing this while dying to warn others. I saw Dr. Praikh a few weeks ago. I looked him in the eye and told him that I was loosing 3 pounds a day and would be dead within a few months. Without running any tests, he just gave me some antibiotics and scheduled for a colonoscopy three month later, despite the fact I just told him I would be dead by then. Well sure enough, the antibiotics made it worse, and the ER physicians and I were trying to call Dr. Parikh, but neither he nor his nurse would answer or return my calls. When I made inquiries as to why, I found out Dr. Parikh was traveling out of country, which is not something he shared with me. I asked the head nurse, Candy, if the clinic would switch me to a different Doctor, and they said only Dr. Tran was available. I told them that people had told me not to use Dr. Tran because he was notoriously bad. Candy relayed this information to both Dr. Parikh… and Dr. Tran and called me back way quicker than she had ever gotten back with me before just to gloat that neither Dr. Parikh or Dr. Tran would ever see me, and that I should find another GI clinic. That's right, they broke their Hippocratic oath because I bruised their pride. Neither Dr. Parikh, nor Dr. Parikh, nor their nurse Candy should be allowed to practice medicine.

I've seen Dr. Parikh several times in both his offices and he has always been attentive and friendly. All my questions are answered with professionalism and knowledge. His staff is also pleasant and caring. They are impressive in the knowledge of what they do on a daily basis.

I recently had an appointment with a Dr in Dr Parikh's building.4 years earlier I had a single appointment with Dr.Parikh , but I wasn't able to follow up. So I'm waiting for the dr in the exam room, and He opens the door and to my surprise it was dr Parikh. He remembered me and my medical history, it was very cool!
