Dr. Chirag M Patel, MD

Dr. Patel was seeing my Mother before she passed in September and i can tell you that personally he was very attentive to my Mother, she absolutely adored him. Even on her darkest days he was her bright light which means alot to the family, because its not just body that needs healed but also the mind and soul. i have great respect for him and his staff he helped her through an extra year of her life that they thought she wouldnt have.

As for Dr Patel as a dr, I absolutely love him. He takes his time he talks to you, but.... that is if you are a new patient. After that you get sent off to the nurse practitioner. Don't get me wrong, I actually like seeing nurse practitioners. The problem here is when I saw Dr Patel he told me I was in stage 1 and had 10 to 15 years to live and could not have surgery. Then later through going to their patient portal I found out I was in Stage 2. No one called me or told me. When I go back to see him, I'm not seeing him now I'm seeing the nurse practitioner and no one told me that. Seems he only sees new patients now. The nurse practitioner told me I was back to Stage 1 but my kidneys were failing. And then laughed at the idea that I had 10 to 15 years to live. Dr Patel told me my severe pain was due to my liver being enlarged. When I was talking to her about the pain she told me I needed to go see a gastro dr. that the pain was coming from something else not the liver. It seems the… doctor and the nurse practitioner don't see eye-to-eye. So who's really telling me the truth? They have not helped me with the pain and although they make you come back every six months they don't seem to want to treat you but want to send you to another type of specialty dr. So my question is, why do they have me keep coming back? If they're not going to do anything and they're not going to help me, me why do I have to come back every 6 months only to be told conflicting medical info. As for the staff, they are not overly friendly. You are more like just a body that's being moved from one room to the next.

He is extremely helpful and takes time to go over everything with you, never rushes you out of office. I don’t know how he could ever get less than 5 stars from anyone!

Dr. Patel is a very compassionate doctor. He takes time to answer all of my questions. I never feel like he is in a hurry to see me and move on to the next patient. He actually talked to me after my diagnosis and described the treatment I would need including possible side effects. His staff is great! It is a busy office. However, they haven't made me feel anything but grateful to have such a professional team helping me at this difficult time in my life.

I saw Dr. Patel today. I am always very at ease when I am seeing him. He is very attentive and very carrying. If something is bothering me he wants to know what is bothering me because of course I guess it will hinder my getting better Dr. Patel really cares about his patients completely. You won't find too many doctors that care like he does. He is a top doctor.

Although referred by my endocrinologist based on an ultrasound his new patient coordinator will not even return a phone call to let me know if I can get an appointment. I simply asked for a return phone call (4 times!).

Office staff lack communication skills and once you leave the office it’s difficult to contact the office by phone.

Two days after a visit where he said he would order anything we needed his office was ask for an order for a hospital bed. We were told if you need a hospital bed go to the Emergency Room.

I have been a patient of Dr. Patel for 4 years or so. I came in for Hep C and I am completely cured. He is very open to answering any questions I have about treatment and follow up care. He is caring and concerned about his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Patel.

Felt like I was on a conveyer belt. It was not explained to me at the time that Dr. Patel only treated Hepatitis C. This may have changed by now. Staff was rude and uncaring except for the phlebotomist who was excellent.
