Dr. Chitra Raghavan, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Raghavan for over 10 years. I admit that she may be late for appointments, but that is because she listens to patient concerns and feedback. I prefer this to a doctor who is on time, but spends 15 minutes without really listening to your concerns. If an illness occurs between my next scheduled checkup, I can usually get an appointment within 24 hours.

We think she is the best doctor we've had in Lexington.

She has not really had to follow up with me except on a rare occasion, so it is really hard to judge that one and some of them are hard to rate accurately.

I plan on finding another doctor. She's just OK.

If anything is worse than Dr. Raghavan, it's the receptionists.

I too have been going to Dr. Raghavan for years. I have always found her very caring and personable. She is alot busier now than she used to be, but that must say something about her as a doctor. If I had a negative comment at all, it would be the wait time in the waiting room to see her. But I would not want to see another doctor. I have had in the past to see someone else when I cannot get in to her. I have never, ever had her misdiagnose me on anything. I disagree with the previous comment on her taking time with you. I just had a doctor's visit last week and she took her time, I did not feel rushed at all. I would recommend Dr. Raghavan. Very caring doctor.

Dr. Raghavan is an excellent doctor with superior diagnostic skills. During my visits she has always been very thorough, professional and caring. I highly recommend her as an internist.

I have been seeing Dr Raghavan for a number of years. When I first went to her she wasn't very busy and it was very different than it is now. Now she doesn't have time to get to everything I need to talk to her about, she is scattered,forgetful, and doesn't have the skills to diagnose as fast as she has to go with the patient now. She is still a very caring doc but is too rushed to be the good doc she used to be.

I love Dr. Raghavan, however the girl at the front desk (her name is Amy) is very un professional. And I wasn't too impressed with her nurse. I agree with the first review on here. Dr. Raghavan is a very caring, compassionate doctor. I will say that just like with any job you get aggravated with people some days. But if you work in healthcare, you need to have a heart for the people. You need to understand that people are sick when they come to a doctor and until you walk in that persons shoes you should not judge. I work with people everyday and regardless of how I feel I always remind myself that I do not know what that person may be facing. Conclusion she needs to have people up front that put the patient first (i agree with the first post - that patient is responsible for your paycheck) if you can't deal with patients Then find another job.) change your staff, Dr. Raghavan - because you are a great doctor. Don't let them pull you down.

Dr. Raghavan was very professional and caring, however the first person you meet is the office staff and they are very unprofessional, rude and discourteous. The second person you meet is the nurse and she is cool and aloof not very compassionate at all. SO by the time you see Dr. Ragahavan and you are already sick to begin with (which is why you visit a doctor) you are already feel even worse emotionally. The doctor has a lot to compensate to make up for her staff. It is really too sad. Since she does appear to be a very compassionate and caring physician. She needs to get rid of her staff and hire people who are taught that the patient is the one paying the bills and the reason they have their jobs.
