Dr. Choo Seng Stephen Lee, MD

Dr lee told me my neck was very bad and needed to do something right away within 5 yrs well didnt do it after 6 yrs i couldn't walk i was falling down over and over breaking my ankle and tibia . it turned out my bone spurs in my neck grow into my spinal cord and mad me cripple i should have done what he said

Bad bedside manner , no curtesy!

At first he seemed good. Then took a bizarre turn. I needed to leave dr. Lee an important message because of miscommunication over a test that needed to be done. After 6 months of waiting during this time I saw his every 3 months for epilepsy. My bone specialist finally told me to leave a personal message because after numerous faxes it was clear the secretary wasn't doing her job. This is were it got unethical and ugly. She continued to yell fowl language and hung up on me over three times. Refused to let me leave a message. I had to file a complaint , trying to resolve the problem. Well not only did he lie for his wife that's his secretary saying he called me when he never did. On top of this I was banned from the only neurological clinic in the county. They've also refused to let my ex husband get care for his trigeminal neuralgia banning him from the clinic, he didn't even do anything. It was unbelievable, I've had some bad experiences but this tops them all.… This clinic should be shut down but somehow they've gotten away with it by lying about situations. He cares more about his wife making money from his clinic than his own terribly sick patients. If I had the money but I'm disabled I'd get an attorney and file a malpractice suit. All because my rheumatologist wanted an emg done. He may be a decent neurologist but someone who lies for his wife/ secretary is wrong, what kind of doctor does that?

The only neurologist in Sonora who is medi-cal approved and should be redirected BACK TO SCHOOL! Dr. Lee refused to listen to patient history, took lazy notes and was neglectful in his duties as a medical provider. If you have medi-cal...YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!

what do you thinkI have known Dr Lee for several years now and he has never failed to be kind and understanding in dealing with my health problems, particularly my migraines. I have seen many doctors in the past but Dr Lee has consistently been one of the best. He is extremely down to earth and easy to talk to. It was slightly hard to get an appointment because his schedule is quite fully booked, but I have no doubt that in the event of an emergency, his staff would be quick to respond appropriately and attend to my needs immediately.

Overall I'm not quite sure what to say about Dr. Lee. My first visit he was prompt, helpful and compassionate. For my followup (I came in with a migraine that hadn't gone away) he seemed frustated and unable to answer my questions. I wanted to pursue other options and I felt as though he only wanted to give me more medications (which aren't working). He has tried to refer me to another clinic but the wait time is absurd (their first appointment is not for THREE months from now).
