Dr. Battista was very thorough, efficient and effective. He had a great personality and was very caring. He saw me through all the pre-surgery pain up to my recovery of a 360 spinal fusion (L4-S1). My life has been changed for the better

I have had constant back pain for years. I visited Doctor Battista and he told me he could help me. Went into Summerville Medical Center in the morning had surgery and was home that afternoon. I was home walking that night and have been pain free since surgery. Fantastic surgeon and very friendly to talk with.

Dr. Batista did surgery on my lower back 6 weeks ago for decompression and sciatic pain. As of now I have at least 50% less pain and getting better every day. He takes time today listen to you and explain the problem and how the surgery can make corrections. He takes time with His patients. He and His staff are very professional. I can’t say enough good things about them. I had highly recommend Him. ????

A year ago I developed an achy feeling in my left butt cheek that progressed into a numbness in my left leg from my hip to my toes - scary stuff! My GP worked with me through a few steroid treatments and stretches, but eventually referred me to Dr Battista at Lowcountry Orthopaedics for an in depth investigation. He showed me how a vertebra had slipped over a centimeter out of place, and reassured me that he had a plan to fix it that would get me back to running, let alone relieving my other symptoms. It’s been 3 months since my surgery and I’m already bounding up the 3 flights of stairs to my apartment and playing on the floor with my grandbabies … Dr Battista gave me back my active lifestyle and I highly highly highly recommend him and his attentive staff. This is some serious surgery and you definitely want a caring, confident, brilliant state of the art miracle worker at the helm! Forever grateful!

After years of back problems - met Dr Battista when we moved to SC. Through minimally invasive robotic surgery he did an L4/5 spinal fusion and I was walking hours after. Only one night in the hospital and I was up to 3 miles walking by the end of the week. Life without pain - love it.
