Dr. Chris Kalapodis, MD

Contrary to the prior review, we had a very good experience with Dr Kalapodis in the Lake Health Madison E.D. He was very direct and communicative about his impressions of the situation, what he recommended, and why. I tend to ask a lot of questions and my husband was concerned as well, and he spent a lot of time (especially for an ER) talking with us until we figured out and were comfortable with the plan of action. With five children we have seen our share of E.D. docs, and our experience with Dr. Kalapodis was a very positive one.

This doctor should NOT be practicing! He entered the room with major ATTITUDE then he found out mental illness was a factor he literally rolled his eyes at me at least three times during the conversation, kept looking at the clock (it was the middle of the night when I brought my daughter to the ER) and asked me "WHAT DO YOU ME TO DO" those were his EXACT words!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I expect and do get plenty of the mental illness stigma from individuals in the general public BUT from an educated professional??? My daughter has been struggling for 3 years with severe depression, it is really bad. Before the depression she was a cheerleader, competitive gymnast, bubbly, and a straight A student. Mental Illness is REAL and CAN and DOES happen to anyone. You can be rich, poor, any race, and have any family background. This NEEDS to STOP happening!!!
