Everyone, Dr Lynette operated on my sister around 8 years ago. After surgery she was in line at a store and her nerve crushed she couldn’t stand! ! She called the Dr he didn’t want to see her. TODAY she suffers from RSD, Crypts ..she’s a warrior but it’s getting worse pain everyday! This is your fault ! Came back to see you recently and you acted like you didn’t know her even tho pictures of her husband and my mom were advertising for you in the LVH magazine and you were friendly then! I pray for my sister bc the outcome is not good! She could lose her leg Shame on you! Sorry I woke up today with her on my mind. BUT be aware

Dr. Lycette operated on me last summer and did a two level fusion in the lower lumbar spine. I had some problems walking prior to the surgery but when I awoke, I had new severe pain in both legs and new left leg weakness. Prior to the surgery most of my problems were in the right leg. I spent 3 weeks in the hospital and rehab before I could return home. I never saw him in the hospital after the surgery even though he had called my husband and said the surgery was more complicated than anticipated. On follow up in his office his PA noted that there were some problems with the screw placements. When I finally saw him 4 months later he said the surgery was perfect and that there were no problems. This despite the fact that I continued with pain and weakness. I have since had several studies that confirm that there are significant problems with the placement of the screws and a lack of fusion at one of the two levels. My films have now been reviewed by 2 other neurosurgeons, 2… neurologists and a pain management doctor and all agree that there are significant problems with the surgery that Dr. Lycette performed. What upset me the most was his arrogant attitude that his surgery was “perfect.” I continue almost a year later with an inability to walk more than one block and have significant pain. All the other doctors agree that my back surgery will need to be done again to fix the problems from the first surgery.

AMAZING!!! Exceptionally Talented Surgeon!!! It is hard to find the correct word / words to describe Dr. Lycette. He is truly a gifted human being. I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis that I had been living with for several years. The condition was pain full, at times extremely pain full. I had tried all other treatment options over the years with none giving me lasting relief. I had always assumed I had sciatic pain and was told as much. Three weeks ago my symptoms became very severe impacting my ability to walk. My wife took me to LVH Cedar Crest ER for evaluation. The entire team at Cedar Crest was exceptional! With in a few hours I had an MRI that reveled the true extent of my back issues, I was very close to becoming paralyzed due to severe degeneration of my L4 and L5 vertebrae. Dr. Lycett called me the next day to schedule surgery that Thursday. He assembled a phenomenal team to complete this very complicated procedure. My surgery was completed with out any… complications. I am now going into my second week of recovery. I am doing GREAT! The extreme pain is gone and my pain continues to improve each day. I am walking, able to move around and can sleep thru the night! I attribute my progress directly to Dr. Lycette's surgical abilities and the team he assembled to complete the surgery. I cannot thank them enough!!! Thank you Dr. Lycette, your team and all of LVHN for nothing short of giving me back my Life!!! I highly recommend Dr. Lycette for any neurosurgical needs you may have. He is the Best!!!

Slammed a mallot into my spinal cord and lied about what happened because of his ego. I still live with numerous neurological complications due to his incompetence. DO NOT let this doctor operate on you or a family member.

Dr. Chris Lycette is a great doctor and human being. Hes helpful, caring, and a very skilled surgeon. He changes lives very positively.

We discussed the issue and he reassured me we’d come up with a plan. Well he was rude, tired, and just blew us off! My sister left crying bc he did surgery on her, my mom, and her husband and didn’t give us the time of day! What happened to you Dr Lycette? We needed your help ,I drove and you were rude and uncaring.. shame on you..

I was doctoring wth back issues for a few years, I tried a chiropractor, physical therapy and epidurals, none of which relieved my pain. My last resort was surgery. I knew nothing about Dr. Lycette, I was impressed with his video so I took a leap of faith and scheduled surgery. Of course recovery was not easy and a lot of pain and discomfort was involved so much so that I was second guessing myself. All I need was more time to heal & that I did. Dr. Lycette enabled me to live pain free once again. For that I am truly thankful !!

Best decision ever to go to him as he gave me my life back.

I had 2 previous cervical fusions years before being referred to this practitioner’s office. I have been experiencing increased pain in my neck lately that is keeping me from being able to sleep. No position nor pillow has helped. I call to schedule the appointment and am told I need to see the PA to be ‘assessed’. She tells me they need a CT and tells me once she gets the radiologist’s report she will call me and direct me to one of the doctors in the group. The receptionist scheduled the CT, for the following week. I have the CT performed as-scheduled and wait to hear from Eleanor. One week goes by...I go to Muhlenburg Imaging and get a copy of the radiologist’s report for myself. I am referred to a prominent neurosurgeon in Philadelphia by a fellow congregant at my church. I call their office and schedule an appointment for the next week. Two weeks have now gone by and still no call from Eleanor. I see the specialist in Philadelphia, as scheduled, bringing with me the CT on a… CD and the accompanying radiologist report. The specialist reviews the CT images with me and goes over the radiologist’s report. Not a PA or a Nurse Practitioner...the Neurosurgeon himself. He tells me there is something wrong with one of my previous fusions and surgery is required to correct it. He was very pleasant to speak with, and went into great detail, explaining everything in easy to follow language. He told me to let him know when I’m ready and he would get me on the schedule. As surgery with this practice would require me to stay in a Philly hospital, I would need to make arrangements in advance, as I live in Northampton. I go home. Two more weeks go by and still no word from Dr. Lycette’s PA, Eleanor, nor any other member of his staff. Finally passed the limits of my patience, I contact the office. The receptionist tells me she will email Eleanor and have her get in touch with me. A few days later, the receptionist calls me back to schedule an appointment for the next week. The day before the appointment, the receptionist calls me to tell me they will need to reschedule my appointment because Eleanor had something come up. I ask why I am scheduled with Eleanor again...stating you should only see the triage person one time, and then go to an ACTUAL doctor. The receptionist agrees that it is out of the ordinary and tells me she will look into it and call me back. A day later a he leaves a message for me on my voicemail that Eleanor said everything was ok and I should go to pain management. I called the receptionist back and told her about my visit in Philadelphia and that it was apparent that Eleanor had missed something, and asked that Eleanor or an actual physician review the images and CT report again. The receptionist said she would pass it on and have Someone get back to me. I haven’t heard back from them. Here’s my suggestion - look elsewhere! If they can’t even follow through with their own procedures and then completely miss what is clear in the CT images and report....maybe it’s time to slow down and have an actual DOCTOR doing the triaging! It’s obvious the PA/NP doesn’t understand what the radiologist is writing, and either didn’t look at or understand the CT images.
