Dr. Chris Nwachukwu Okonkwo, MD

This physician allowed my son to go untreated for 6 days all while battling a 103 fever. After our 2nd visit I insisted he give my child antibiotics. After being on antibiotics for 24 hours he was temperature free and able to return to school. However he missed 6 days of school and this set him back significantly with school work. His throat was so inflamed he was unable to eat and lost weight between both appointments. Onkonkwo insisted that his weight loss was impossible and that he needed to be weighed again. After I informed him that his staff had already weighed him twice on two different scales then he insisted his scales must be broken. Instead of acknowledging that he was wrong by not treating my son the first time, he spoke to me condescending. Asking questions like “do I understand medical terminology” - while I am sitting in front of him with scrubs and a REGISTERED NURSE badge on. Luckily my children are rarely sick and I have always managed to interact with the… ARNP that works there. Needless to say, after this incident I have established my three children’s care elsewhere.

Dr. Okonkwo and Dr. Katie are absolutely amazing!

Dr. Okonkwo is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met and answered all the questions I had with confidence. The staff in the office are very courteous and helpful, and the wait times went by quickly. My children are now excited about the next time they see Dr. Okonkwo, which gives me confidence in the great doctor that he is.

Office staff considers them selves "ghetto" and the Dr. denies kids.

Worst doctor i have been to. I had a child pass away from SIDS and since then my children after have been put on apnea monitors. With my newborn he was her doctor in hospital and told me im ridiculous for wanting a monitor my daughter she is fine and doesnt need one. Well my son seemed fine too untill three months later when he passed in his sleep. He was very rude and kept saying i was being ridiculous and obviously i need to find a new doctor because others would agree with me but he doesnt. He got loud belittled me.

Dr. Okonkwo is very unprofessional . The theme of yelling at parents in front of sick children seems to be a pattern. He is unstable and not a reliable physician. We will never go back and reccomend others protect their children from his inapropriate behavior.

This is the worst doctor i have ever seen, yelled at me and my husband for pulling back my sons foreskin to clean it daily even though the other doctors in the building told me im supposed to... i have been going to this office for a year now and just today met Dr.Onkonkwo when i mentioned i have been telling his staff i wanted to meet him for a year he told me "i am releasing you from my practice" VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOES NOT SHOW ANY KIND OF CARING TOWARD CHILDREN

Dr. Okonkwo has always been very good with my children. He listens to my concerns and explains anything that I don't understand. The office staff are very effecient. I would recommend Dr. Okonkwo to any parent.

My grandson was discharged from this practice with no explanation and when we called to find out why the office manger told us she did not know and the doctor would not talk to us. My grandson is a very sick little boy and this doctor just disregarded him when he needed help!!!
