Dr. Christ-Ann Andree Magloire, FACOG

I went to Doctor Magloire as my last resource for a VBA2C. She accepted me even though there was no information of my first pregnancy which back then was 12 years ago and we did not know if I had a special scar or not. Everything was peaches and cream the whole pregnancy (Yes we will make this happen I was told many times) probably because I was always seen by the midwife which I had no problem. When you are going for a VBAC with Dr. Magloire she sets a date for all of her VBAC patients to explain the risks and the things that are needed from our part to make it happen. She tells you, you need a doula so you can labor with her as much as you can in your home and also that you need to pay her a fee for your TOLAC and that covers 4 hours of her time. This is why she wants you to labor at home as much until you are ready. Also she tells you how she won’t induce you or put pitocin on you because that increases the risk of uterine rupture. My water broke at 6am. This is my 3rd baby, but… with my first being born premature and having had a c-section 10 years later for the second one I did not know what to expect aside for what I read and heard. I contacted my doula and since I couldn’t feel the baby move for a long time she tells me to go to the hospital. I go to the hospital (Jackson North) and they tell me that I had given positive to streptococcus b so I needed to stay. I was told that Doctor Magloire was at the hospital around 2pm, my Doula couldn’t make it so The Gathering Place sends me a replacement. When Dr. Magloire finally arrives to my room, she asked my Replacement Doula to leave the room. She checks me and tells me that I was still at 3cm and that she could offer me 3 options: 1. Break what’s left of my water and see if I progress. 2. Put me on pitocin and see if I progress. (Keep in mind that she told me that was not an option for a VBAC specially with a suspected special scar) 3. A repeated c-section. And she added this: “Keep in mind that you are being charged by the hour”. She left me and my husband alone and I burst in to tears. I did not mention this before, but I lost my job just when I found out I was pregnant and my husband had all the financial load on his shoulders which was very difficult at the time. The money I used to pay the fee for my VBAC I took from my severance, because I really wanted to make this happen. I had to make the decision of having another c-section because I could not afford to pay her more. They get me prepared. They did not respect my birth plan even though I had specific requests if I were to have a repeated c-section. They made jokes inside the Op room and when she came to see me the next day, she told me as a joke that she had given me a mini tummy tuck and I asked her about my old scar and she said that the uterus is so forgiving that there was no evidence of that scar. I ended up with a 3rd c-section and another scar in my heart because I was denied my right to give birth due to money interests. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. She took advantage of my situation which is very wrong specially if you are an advocate for VBACs and Natural Birth.

Dr. Magloire delivered my first child 9 years ago. I trusted her completely! (and I'm skeptical and dont trust many people especially doctors lol) But to me she was the best Dr. I've ever had. I also loved the fact that my visits were with a midwife. I have since moved to another town and I'm on my second child and I seriously considered the option of driving over an hour to go and see her. I really love this doctor and I would recommend her to everyone in the Miami area!

I love the staff and Dr. MAGLOIRE! !! THEY MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE I give them a five star.

Had a postpartum appt scheduled to get my checkup and IUD insertion. First I go there on the day I had scheduled with the office manager, to find out that they had scheduled me for the next day. A mistake made by them because I remember confirming the exact day with her before I left the office. Then I show up the following day for the appointment. On my way there I receive a phone call that they haven't been able to get my last pap results from my previous doctor. Asking me to call and get results. I tell the receptionist what does it matter because those results are over a year old. Am I not supposed to get another pap today with my IUD? She says yes and that she'll just let the doctor know. I get there. Wait an hour to be seen. Appt is at 2pm and I get called back at 3pm. When I'm called by the nurse I'm told that since they can't get my past pap results, the doctor won't be able to insert IUD since she doesn't have recent pap results. I tell her, as I told them in my original… 4wk visit that those results were a year old already, so they wouldn't count. And why didn't they tell me this before, when I came in accidentally on the wrong day? Or why hadn't they called me in the 3wks between my appointments to have this taken care of? She has no answer. And I have to leave because the Doctor will not do IUD insertion without recent pap. I wasn't going to have my pap done there since the staff is SO unbelievably unprofessional. How do you wait until day of appointment to address this issue? I would NEVER recommend this doctor or office. Yes the staff is friendly but they obviously don't know how to do their job! Absolutely Horrible Experience!!!

I NEVER saw the doctor until I was at the Hospital. She is cold and unprofessional. Horrible service at the office. For my follow up appointment she couldn't even bother herself to see me and the Midwife couldn't give me any answers of why I lost my baby. I will never return to this office.

She is the worst ob/gyn ever she came late to my delivery of my son if I wasn't so drugged up I probably would have assaulted this rude sorry excuse for a doctor

when delivering my son she was perfect, attentive and went straight into action, this was my third pregnancy and the best delivery I had.

Please don't come to this office. The staff is horrible. They never return your call. Very dirty office. Not professional.

Worst ob I ever seen. 1 she is never in her office. 2. She has all these intern kids dealing with pregnant patients. Not professional at all. The bathroom is never clean. The wait time is always about an hour even with appointments. The staff is very lazy. Also the midwife refuse to tell u anything. Like what is the point of you seeing me if you cannot tell me anything!
