Dr. Christa Dunne, MD

Despite some comments here about the appearance of Dr. Dunne's office (clearly she is practicing alone in offices that once were occupied by several physicians and is stuggling on account of that) and her complaints about money (I have seen some of that but it doesn't bother me) she clearly knows what she's doing, really cares for her patients, and spends plenty of time/ She's very thorough and professional and has a very human touch. I think of her as quite charming.

First impressions of the office are dreary, outmoded and unkempt. Dr. Dunne constantly harps about money, how much it costs her to communicate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and other medical personnel. She is reticent about using her fax because it costs her money. I don't want to hear that. I go there for a medical opinion and a solution to my medical malady, not an economic diatribe.

I can't really rate this physician as I didn't stay long enough to have my appointment. The office at 980 Western ave is horrible. It smells like urine and looks worse than a cheap motel, 70s paneling and old industrial carpet included. There were no lights on in the place with the exception of the receptionist's office, but then, there was no one in the waiting room (surprise!). I took a quick glance at the exam room (which continued the lovely decor)...it seemed to have the necessary equipment and was probably fine, but I couldn't bring myself to take my shoes off in that place let alone my clothes. This doctor should consider the impression she's giving her potential clients in this space - poor accommodations = poor care. Good luck with that.
