Dr. Christiaan Allan Webb, MD

When my OBGYN passed away in 2012, Webb took over his practice. After an ultrasound, Webb thought I had Diverticulitis. He stated I should have a barium enema X-ray exam. His offices set the appointment at West Houston Medical Center. Not a pleasant exam! Waited quite a while before finally contacting the office for my results. The assistant that answered put me on hold, then got back on the phone and stated the results were fine. That’s it, no other explanation. Nada. Why did I just have an unnecessary exam done? This happened many years ago, I have since found a great OBGYN/GYNO. I also learned a valuable lesson! Always go with your gut if something seems off, even from Doctor. Seek a second opinion!

i felt rushed at the appointments i had, and i didn't have time to ask questions on most of my visits.on two separate occasions i was told by Dr, webb to go to the katy location, but wen i called to confirm the nurses said he would be at the west houston location instead.they never admitted to the mix up and made me feel like i was wrong when i know he specifically told me to go to Katy.

Dr.Webb is an amazing doctor. Very patient and to the point. I just had a c section yesterday at 2pm. The experience was beautiful. Compare to my first c section this my repeat c section was great and the recovery was allot better than my last c section. I recommend him all the way.

Creí haber perdido la fe en los médicos , por suerte en mi visita a ER después de no "tener nada malo con mi salud " me dieron la información de esta eminencia Dr. Webb... Inmediatamente me dijo cuál era mi problema, después de hacer arreglos con mi aseguranza me dio la cita para mí cirugía ... Nunca había experimentado tanto calor humano hacia sus pacientes como Dr Webb... Aún con sus regaños sigue siendo una bendición haberlo encontrado ... Lo recomiendo en su totalidad !!!!

Dr Webb has excellent bedside manner, is very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions in a way easy to understand. He was gentle and always made me feel comfortable. The reason I rated him so low is because of the experience I had with his staff. I visited Dr. Webb initially due to severe pelvic pain. After a negative ultrasound, he suggested a laparoscopic procedure to identify the source of the problem. This procedure was pending insurance verification to be made by his staff. after waiting more than a week to hear back, l I decided to give them a call. The secretary was very rude and offputting and gave me no idea as to why she had not yet followed up. I told her that if I can't get answers as to when I can get this surgery then I'm going to need to find a new doctor. She told me "Ok, I will let them know". She had no interest in assisting me to fix this issue or directing me to a person who could. When I asked to speak to the doctor, she told me he was… busy with patients and made no effort to arrange a time for me to speak with him. I am now left to search for a new doctor and go through all this again. Maybe now I can find the cause of my pain, no thanks to the unprofessional staff of Dr. Webb.

Dr. Webb is awesome! I would reccomend him to anyone!

What a nice man. Put me at ease and made me feel like he was really interested in helping me. What a nice change from my last Dr.who basically did a fly-by visit. I will definitely refer him to all of my friends!

Initially, I was impressed with Dr. Webb as a gynecologist and referred a few friends to him. When I became pregnant with my second child I decided to use Dr. Webb as my OB. Unfortunately, as time went on my opinion changed. 1. The wait is unreasonable. Every single time my husband and I left work early, only to wait AT LEAST one hour. Dr. Webb told us if we came in on Fridays it would be better. It absolutely was not.2. Dr. Webb is friendly, however, I noticed that he treated me differently when my husband wasn't present. I do not think this was in any way intentional or that hes aware of it, but he sometimes reacted differently when hearing the exact same thing from my husband. Dr. Webb was more likely to dismiss a problem or incompletely answer a question when I was there alone.3. Dr. Webb told me on different occasions that symptoms I was experiencing (e.g. electric shock sensation during my 3rd trimester) were imagined or didn't exist. Even if Id found others who had experienced… them, he just waved his hand. Then on subsequent visits, he knew what I was talking about and could put a medical name to what I was describing.4. He made medical decisions that I wouldnt have agreed to had I been better informed (which I know is partially my responsibility, I know, but it was a tough ole pregnancy). I have thyroid issues and I later found out from my top-rated endocrinologist that generic Levoxyl, which is what Dr. Webb prescribed, isnt consistently or reliably effective. My endocrinologist also told me they would never recommend a Depo-Prevara shot to someone with thyroid issues. (1) Dr Webb gave me the Depo-Prevara without any discussion of side effects (which I later got). (2) He told me during one visit that the shot was effective immediately. The next visit he said it can take a week or two. At both of those visits he told me that the shot was effective for longer than it actually is. (3) The shot was administered 4 weeks postpartum, while I was breastfeeding (Ive learned you shouldnt get it until 6 weeks if nursing). (4) ****BEFORE GETTING THIS SHOT I URGE YOU**** to search Depo Prevara mood on the internet. I just did. ts horrible. Many women complain of long-term rapid and *severe* mood-swings, irritability, and anxiety. My very patient husband can attest to that and I am bone tired of feeling this way. It seems Depo Prevara has a half life of 50 days. It takes about four half-lives after one injection for it to undetectable in the body. At least maybe I dont have PPD.5. At the hospital I wasnt given any instructions upon leaving. For example, I wasnt given any limitations on lifting things after my c-section (they didnt even broach the topic AT ALL), so I was carrying and lifting things I shouldnt have. A nurse friend told me this will lead to more scar tissue and painful periods down the road. During a postnatal appointment I mentioned the lack of guidance from the hospital to Dr. Webb. He said that he has instructed the hospital to withhold instructions/information because he doesnt want patients to freak out. He said he felt more comfortable taking on questions from patients as they came up! If I hadnt had a child previously (my 1st child wasnt a c-section) I would have been completely without a clue about what to do to take care of myself when I got home. As it was, I ended up collecting basic c-section information and advice from my friends a couple months AFTER my c-section.7. Four months after the birth I called Dr. Webbs office and said that my husband and I were afraid I had PPD. The nurse didnt ask if I was a danger to myself or others, which I feel is negligent. Dr Webb dismissed it and told me I didnt have PPD, but that he would put me on Zoloft anyway. I experienced a few weeks of adverse reactions and went to see Dr. Webb again. Again, he told me that I didnt have PPD but he would put me on a low dose of Wellbutrin (which isnt resolving the symptoms entirelysee bullet 4). 8. Dr. Webbs nurse is quiet, but generally friendly (unlike the front desk nurse, who is rather rude). However, I had to follow up on several occasions to get mammograms and other procedures scheduled. She never called back or followed up with me as promised. In summary, I think the best thing about Dr. Webb is that he tries to take his time with you and answer questions. You wait a long time, but dont usually feel rushed while in the room with him. I think Dr. Webb is very overwhelmed and has too high of a patient load. This contributes to some of the above issues, but certainly doesnt excuse them. Especially in that profession you cannot afford to exercise a lot of poor judgment. To be honest, hes a nice man but in retrospect, I feel fortunate that something serious didnt go wrong.
