After my wife visited this location recently for an issue that she was experiencing with a tooth, the dentist informed her that she needed to have a problem wisdom tooth removed. Although the dentist and staff were friendly and professional, he didn’t really explain any of the other options that may be available to her, and just proceeded to try and pull the tooth. Subsequently, the dentist was unable to properly extract the problem tooth - even after shooting several rounds of Novocaine and other medication into the affected area. The dentist then informed her that she should visit an oral surgeon in order to finish the job. However, they gave her the wrong directions to the oral surgeon’s office!That is, apparently the oral surgeon has multiple locations and the staff provided the directions to the wrong location. So, my wife ended up driving around Bountiful while in a somewhat sedated state, only to finally be told by another dentist at that location that the surgeon was… working out of his Layton office that day! So, of course she came home and I was able to immediately drive her up north in order to see the oral surgeon at his Layton location. When I called Dr. Bahr’s office to ask what happened, in hopes of getting an explanation or perhaps just prevent someone from experiencing the same hassle in the future - they never bothered to even return my call. This was during the early part of Thanksgiving week, mind you, and my wife had to endure some extreme pain until the oral surgeon could perform the extraction the following day. So, although I am not necessarily certain that my wife really underwent what could typically be described as the “normal” experience, please be advised that you should “take it for what it is”, and visit this location with the knowledge that something similar could indeed happen to you.
