Dr. Christian M Brondon, MD

Visited Brondon since my regular Dr. would have taken longer to see. I was in considerable back/leg pain & had back surgery 5 years prior. Had been entirely pain free for those 5 years. I had a letter from my Chiropractor of 10 years stating my past history & how I had ongoing pain within the last few months. She recommended an MRI be done & a referal to a particular Surgeon since my back was in perfect alignment & there was no indictaion skeletally of why I was in pain. Dr. Brondon never examined me or even looked at my back. He simply asked questions and acted like he wasn't listening to my responses. He honestly acted like I wa2662 When the nurse took the Chiropractor's letter to be copied I heard Dr. Brondon in the hall laugh at the fact that a Chiropractor had an opinion & state that the surgeon she wanted to send me to was a "jerk who won't do anything". This surgeon is one of the top neurosurgeons in Rochester...Anyway, Brondon prescribed lidocaine patches & told me to… come back in a month if I was still in pain. 2 MONTHS later I finally received an MRI after seeing a different Dr. The MRI showed 2 disc herniations with one being MASSIVE & causing spinal Stenosis. That said, I needed immediate surgery. Ironically, Brondon was the Dr. who called to notify me of the MRI results. He acted nonchalant & said I needed to see a surgeon right away. He then asked if I was having alot of back pain! I almost laughed out loud over the phone. He is the most arrogent, prescription-happy, unkowledgable Dr. I have ever seen & I wouldn't want anyone else to be misdiagnosed as I was.

He seemed nice enough at first but it's just an act. He tried to take a script written for me from my mom without discussing anything with me much less gaining concent. In my eyes this is stealing. I saw him one day for back pain (I broke my back 6x in a motorcycle accident), he wrote me a script that turned out to be for headaches and seizures. The first (prior) script he wrote me for back pain was Cymbalta, another med not used for back pain at all. The next night after the visit I had to go to the ER for the pain. I saw him the very next day after that (only 2 days after the first visit) and he was extremely rude to both me and my mom. He finally looked at my catscans and xrays (I printed them out this time so he had to) and said "the bones are healing!" indicating that my pain issue was non-consequential. He refused to look in my bag of scripts and later my mom forced him to review the scrips from the ER because they actually helped and this is when he tried to take my scripts for… diladid and flexeril saying the vicoprofrin he was writing me was the "exact same thing." Basically he was lying to her face and then mine. I did my research, the script for diladid was exactly 26.6x, let me say it again, TWENTY-SIX TIMES as strong as his vicoprofrin (22.5mg codine daily vs 12mg diladid daily). .6mg of diladid is = to 30mg codine. (12 / .6 = 20 x 30 = 600 / 22.5 = 26.6) He had also failed to mention that I should stop taking the ibprofrin I usually take because its in the vicaprofrin so Im glad he kept that script he wrote, I would have been oding on it if I hadn't done my own research. He reffered me to the worst pain clinic on earth and that pain dr said he couldnt help me much because of the cymbalta I had been placed on for back pain! I stopped the cymbalta and recieved a second refferance. After calling the second refferance it turns out that the new pain clinic DOES NOT prescribe pain meds, they leave that up to the primary care physician and they only supply injections. How horribly ironic. If you need serious help avoid this Dr. If you just need general care, Im sure hes more than capable and he is easy to get into see so judge your situation accordingly.
