Dr. Christian Sewell Hanson, DO

Dr. Hanson is a great guy and very good at what he does! He has certainly help me with my health issues over the past few years! And continues to help me with each new health issue. Thank you Dr Hanson you are very much appreciated!

I was told my thyroid was in trouble by my gp and Dr Hanson said I'd see a surgeon the next week. This is the beginning of week three no surgeon just anxiety and feeling as I'm fallen threw the cracks to die

Even though my thyroglobulin had gone UP several years after a thyroidectomy, he didn't order any further tests, such as an ultrasound, more blood work, or a biopsy! He asks me the same exact questions every six months, and that's it!

I have been with Dr. Hanson for 5 years. My only problem is that he looks at his computer screen often. At the end of the appointment he looks at me tells my to write down new dosages. I have never had any problems with the staff, or getting appointments. I do request the first appointment in the morning or right after lunch.

I arrived for my appt 31 minutes early as this was my first appt. I was finally called to the back 1 hour and 15 minutes later. The person that took me back was rude and said the reason I had to wait so long was because I was late. She took my blood pressure with a cuff that was too small and almost popped off of my arm. She gave me a bogus reading. Then she took a FSBS and told me she was doing a HGB A1C. I had just had one done. She was in too much of a hurry, and inept. The doctor spent an appropriate amt of time and did explain things, but not sure he took mu concerns seriously.

I've been seeing Dr. Hanson for thyroid cancer. I don't recommend him. My pathology report sat on his desk for 6 weeks saying I had cancer. When I went in for my appointment he still had not read it. And just said "you look good, see you in 6 months!" Both me and my husband were in shock! He said he never received it, his nurse said he had received it and just hadn't gotten around to reading it yet. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED??? He also will not listen to me when I tell him how I am feeling. He doesn't care. As long as your numbers are where he thinks they should be - He doesn't care about anything else. So again, don't waste your time. I will go bald before he will listen to me! The only reason he got 1 star is because it wouldn't let me submit this without at least 1 star!

I go in there and he won't épée ally look at me. He put me on 88 mcg and I think it actually slowed down my thyroid. Every six months he asked me how I am doing, what my feelings are on the current medicine, etc. I give him a long list of what the medicine is doing. I sleep all the time more depressed and immediately gained weight. He has no comments, Just tells me to come back in six months. I think he is probably retirement age and grumpy and probably past his prime. I have heard that he was one of the top endocrinologists in Tulsa, but I am going to switch. I can't stand spending days and days Out of a week in bed sometimes sleeping almost 24 hours. Something is wrong. Maybe it is not my thyroid after all? I don't know. I have an appointment to see his PA which is encouraging.

I was referred to Dr. Hanson in 2009, for nodules in my thyroid. Dr. Hanson referred me to a surgeon right away, and in two months, I had surgery, and found out I had cancer in my thyroid. I had thyroidectomy. I had to get my thyroid levels on target, and my main complaint is that I had to do research about cytomel. I asked Dr. Hanson to give me a prescription, and he did. He gave me a prescription of snythroid only 100 mcg. I dont have a thyroid, and I have been telling him I am still fatigued. Dr Hanson had my blood drawm every time I see him, once every 6 months. But, he says my levels are fine, but I researched my levels and its still on the low side. I feel he should put me at a little hyperthyroidism as long as my heart is strong and have normal blood pressure. I feel its better to be on the hyper side, than hypo as long as the levels are not that high. I feel I need a Dr who wil listen to me more about my synthroid. Dr. Hanson saved my life, doubt about that. I just feel that… the longer I am his Patient, the more he does not help me much. In the beginning, he saw me more, and seemed to care more. Now, I am lucky to see him once a year. I feel I need an endocrinologist to see me atleast every3 months to check my levels. I have finally lost 75 pounds, and this doctor does not know that. Becuase he has seen me last Febuary. If he saw me more, he would know how much I have lost. Thanks to Adepex weight loss pills to make my motabolism higher.

Dr. Hanson has been very successful in helping me to lower my blood sugar. He has never rushed me in any visit. He did a better job in explaining to me my insulin resistance than any doctor that I have ever had. He gave me a plan to follow to get my insulin dosage RIGHT and to lower my blood sugar. I agree completely that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LIFE AND YOUR TREATMENT. The doctor can only suggest solutions - you have to implement them!
