Dr. Christian Lavon Holcomb, MD

Was seen in the emergency room for a fall which resulted in a head wound . Was told to see my primary MD within 3 days..My appointment with with Dr Holcomb was pointless, not at all concerned with the fact that my legs gave out causing the fall in which I hit my head and resulted in sutures. He did not take off the dressing or check the wound, nor did he even take my blood pressure or do any vital signs at all. The bill sent to me stated a charge for a dressing change and a blood pressure of 120/80..interesting since I have extremely high blood pressure and have never had a normal blood pressure. I left this visit and went directly made an appointment with a new MD who saw my wound and noted it to be filling with blood which was splitting the sutures,required further treatment, something that should have been caught at the appointmentnwith Holcomb. I have reported him to board of medicine for fraud in charging for services not rendered.

While waiting in reception area, noticing the dead plants, was a little worried. Got into exam room, noticed waste can overflowing (I was there at 9:30 am ), there was also used medical equipment on the floor, also the cover of a needle syringe ! Dr. later gave me two wrong diagnosis on my exit sheet. When I questioned him on one of them, he said we had talked about that problem , but we had not even mentioned that ! Can't trust anyone who doesn't remember what we talked about ! When I later went in to say I wasn't coming back to his office, receptionist never asked what the problem was or if there was anything she could do to help! It was as if she didn't care or she was use to people rejecting dr. Holcomb's services!

I have been seeing this provider for a couple of years and am pretty stuck due to my insurance. I feel like he does not really like being a doctor. He is basically competent but surly and obtuse at times. I am an easy patient with just a few minor medical issues, never miss appointments, pay my bill on time so you would think he appreciate that, not. His nurse is really nice but his receptionist is kind of snappy sometimes. If you need a good bedside manner and a swanky office, this is not the place for you.

Love his attentiveness and genuine care about patient well being

The staff are rude the front desk receptionist Chris is rude, unprofessional, and has no people skills. They don't know how to put proper dates on important medical records. As a patient confidentiality isn't kept due to the thin walls which othe patients can hear your whole conversation. I would not recommend this place at all. Rating is a zero
