A native of Huntington Beach, Dr. Lopez received his B.A. from UC Irvine, then graduated with honors from UC San Francisco Dental School, followed by 2 years of Pediatric Residency at UCLA, where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Lopez and his staff at Newport Pediatric Dentistry specialize in dentistry for children and teens in a modern dental setting geared toward making your child's dental visit enjoyable and even fun! Dr. Lopez offers complete dental care for children including cleanings, exams, white fillings and, if necessary, sedation dentistry with a Pediatric M.D. anesthesiologist. Everything is set up to make the visit delightful with toys and video games in the reception area, TV's on the ceiling over the dental chairs, gumball machines with toy prizes, balloons, and everything flavored.
Dr. Lopez and his wife, Jane, are the proud parents of Jordan 14, Jake 12, Chloe 8, and Gracie 4.

My child was extremely anxious when she went in to have sealant put on her molars. Dr Lopez and his staff went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable and calm so that they could successfully perform the procedure. My daughter left there feeling brave and confident and so very thankful to Dr Lopez and Evelyn.

It's an easy decision to give the staff and Dr. Lopez all 5 stars! Not only is the service excellent for our children, but so too has been thier kindness, gentleness, and friendliness. Today's visit, like all before, started on time, were quick, and performed with very little (if any) discomfort. We love Dr. Lopez!

Dr. Lopez and his team have made each visit a joyful experience. The staff does an incredible job of relaxing my kiddos, who tend to be a bit anxious. They are calming, gentle and personable, and my kid's concerns are immediately put to rest. Thank you for being such a caring team! The Johnson Family

It was not easy to find a dentist that we could trust and our kids feel comfortable with. In fact they were always too nervous to see dentists until we were recommended to Dr Lopez. He is patient, reasonable and experienced. The office staff are very organized and friendly. I love also that they are always ready to see the kids at their appointment time. Excellent dentist!
