Dr. Christie Ann Huddleston, MD

It has been more than two decades since I last saw Dr. Huddleston, and the passage of time has only served to support my feelings of gratitude towards her and our therapeutic relationship. I saw her on and off for 8 years, and to this day I have recurring thoughts about our sessions. She was warm and empathetic, and while she never directly answered my questions, she always answered, but in a way that allowed me to assess the question and explore the possible answers for myself. Her method was definitely more Socratic than didactic, and the end result was that rather than being handed a fish, I was encouraged to learn how to fish. I am sure that she is unaware of this, but to this day she is a presence in my life. It is not hyperbole when I say that she literally saved my life.

Waste of time. Not until after seeing a therapist who was more professional and who provided helpful feedback did I realize how judgmental she was. Felt bad after every visit and made no progress. A waste of a couple of years and lots of money.
