she saved my aunts life and is a selfless dr. she gives up her free time and goes above and beyond in her field

I've never been made to feel as low of a person in my life as she made me feel. After a recent cancer diagnosis out of state, I went to her to establish care. Dr.Iverson spent 10 minutes reading my record and two minutes to write a lab order. I asked what was the lab? Why was she not going to examine me? She said she could examine if I wanted but it wasn't necessary since I had no uterus. I replied that doesn't mean I'm not in need of a GYN. She stated the tests were for the cancer markers. I responded that I had all of those test done in the past 3 months. and are the negative . I also asked why would she run these if not only are they in my record she just read as negative, but I just told her within 5 minutes ago that there was never any history of the diseases. I didn't understand why I was looked at the way she looked at me, that you showed up to church late and dressed wrong look, then I realized she judged my tattoos and piercings the second I walked in and some how those… immediately point to HPV VIRUS!! I let her know that I felt judged and insulted as I said those tests had been done and my primary wanted me to have a GYN due to ovarian cyst and family history of cancer. Thinking that there is just bad communication somewhere bc we are past stereotypical judments, I asked if she was thinking that the tattoo ink or piercings could play a role in cancer markers , knowing the reason I was there, the tests already done and my medical history that it didn't in my situation but hoping I was just a little scared and picking up on something that wasn't there, she responded that patience lie tests don't and I was welcome to have a second opinion. I asked second opinion for what, you haven't even looked at me and apparently my record either bc the tests are in there and they don't lie. So what were you reading the entire time you were at the computer during my appointment? I got on my Sanford Chart and pulled up all my results and showed her she then left the room and an ultrasound tech came in and took me to do an US and urinalysis. I went back to room. 20 min later I stepped out to see what was going on and I was told I could've left after US. That's it. Literally Dr.Iverson was gone. A couple weeks later i called to see about results. I was told urine wasn't taken and ultrasound showed extrodinary ovaries and no uterine cysts or suspicious lesions. Funny, I don't have a uterus. The urine was collected but never tested and I realized that self righteous judgmental doctors will save the economy with their lack of concern causing things to go undiagnosed so that more expensive tests and medicine will be required. Did she set out to save the economy in that way, I doubt it that's just me ranting but she did judge me on my appearance and did miss a tumor. Thankfully benign it is the cause of my symptoms and pain. My primary was able to read "doc only notes" from the appt and told me she doesn't think I should see Dr. Iverson again and went as far as saying she wouldn't take her self conscious teenage daughter to her now. The silver lining is due to her time with Sanford and doctors referring doctors in certain circles, too often take family members without thought and a doctor with manners like hers could definitely cause a serious self esteem breakdown in someone who is on the edge to begin with.

I was scared to go into surgury. Dr. Iverson took the time to listen to me. She also didn't try to sugar coat, or down play any of my concerns. She looked me in the eye and let me know her opinion and all of my options. I came out of surgury feeling like a new person. I would put my life in her hands anytime
