Terrible Doctor. Too old. Should retire. ER Doctor at Huntsville Hospital. If assigned to her then request another Doctor.

My great niece had a witnessed seizure at church. She is one year old. Never had a seizure. She was posturing, convulsing and turned blue. This lasted approximately 2 to 3 minutes. She had some issues at birth and has an AVM. Dr. Jones said that she was going to send her home and she had just had a febrile seizure. Keep in mind her temp was only 101. I understand that some people have a low seizure threshold but really? She then asked if we were comfortable taking her home and we told her that we had some reservations. She was very unprofessional and said that they do not admit for febrile seizures and that she was sending her home. We asked to speak to someone over her (keep in mind Huntsville Hospital has an administrator on call) and she refused saying that she was the doctor and she was "THE AUTHORITY". She is an idiot. If our child had been her child or even another physician's child, the story would have went very differently. Our child is just as important as… anyone else's and if she is going to continue to practice medicine she needs to get rid of her holy than thou attitude and treat everyone as if they are a family member. Not that this matters but our baby is insured with BCBS insurance so this was not an issue.
