Another Sally Smith in the making. Be very careful. She tried to make me believe that I had no say in my treatment. She decided if and when I do anything... and scared me into believing this. She had me in hypo thyroid and refused to change my medications enough to make a difference. so i decided to stop medications despite her "expert advise". my decision was what got me into normal range and functioning again but instead of being happy I felt better, she threatened to drop me as a patient .... A monster in the making. BE WARNED!!!!

Over the years Dr Turin More has become overly confident. Some doctors get very proud over the years while other stay down to earth. Dr Turin was one the ones who allowed herself to become arrogant. I started seeing her for Graves’ disease last year and I advised her that I can go into remission very quickly suddenly . My last doctor overmedicated me mistakenly , but he owned up to it . I told Dr Turin about this and she disregarded the concern I had for being overmedicated and stilll believed she would know exactly what dose to give me . No one knows exactly what dose of methimazole to give from month to month. But Dr Turin believes she knows exactly what your body is going to do at every given moment. When the truth is , no one knows what the right dose is . We are alll giving an educated guess but can be wrong and can be right. Dr Turin has began to think she is always right. She ended up putting me in hypo for 4 months . I decided to stop medications altogether because I couldn’t… function. I work full time and have a toddler . I can’t be hypo. I never told her this because I knew she was egotistical and wanted to be the one to decide this . I ended up being right and the only way I would get back into normal range was if I stopped medications altogether . Eventually I told her . But Instead of just being happy that I felt better she was very offended and threatened to drop me as a patient claiming I didn’t listen to her . My last doctor took the partnership approach with me . We both understood that neither one of us knew for sure what dose is correct . Sometimes I was right , sometimes I was wrong . Sometimes he was right and sometimes he was wrong. We both gave each other the room to make small errors and then readjust next time . Dr Turin has become a bit of a pompous monster over the years ... She definitely let all the good reviews or her intelligence go to her head . Just be super careful if you have Graves’ disease and go to her .
