Dr. Christina Elaine Merritt, MD

Dr Merritt is the best!! She makes going to the dr enjoyable! My kids have been with her since 1&2nd grade. They are now freshman and sophomore in college! Sadly we are aging out. She is kind, listens, and truly cares!!

We’ve been a patient of Dr. Merritt’s for about 4 years now. My son has been seeing her since he was a baby. She has always been patient and kind, and her bedside manner is great with him. She listens to all the stories he tells her and even plays with him when she’s checking him. The wait is never long, the staff is patient and nice, and are always helpful!

Took my child in to see her because his regular doctor at the same practice was too full. He had a fever, but no other symptoms. Waited for 30 min, with my kid in a small room and no fever meds. My kid was freaking out. She had no bedside manner at all. She did nothing to calm my child while she pulled his ear -- leaving a red mark. She said she couldn't figure out why there was a fever and needed a pee sample. They put a tube in my kid to get a few drops of pee -- after we waited another 30 min. Dr came back in-- I don't know what's causing the fever. It's PROBABLY a virus. Wow!! Thanks for the confidence... Two days later, took my kid to urgent care-- the ears were FULL of wax. They had to clean them out to see there was an ear infection. Dr said there was no way anyone could have seen anything two days before. So my kid got fondled and hurt by a tube in side him because this Dr didn't look at his ears! I will never go back to this practice.

Why they don't teach bedside manners in med school is beyond me and if they do this Dr. May have missed a few classes. We went to her twice and found a different dr. Don't tell her your going to wait to get the flu shot (wanted all the kids to be there for one visit). She will tell you your "taking the risk of infecting he whole practice" WOW! That was enough for us.

My 2 year old has seen Dr. Merritt twice and so far we really like her. She took the time to answer any questions I had and was very thorough with her examinations. She was also very friendly and was very apologetic when we had to wait longer than usual due a busy flu season.

The first few visits were wonderful. For the last appointment she was a unprofessional and snippy. I felt the respect level was low.

Never gave us a chance to get to know her and have good relationship with our daughter.

My baby is about 5 months old and we've been taking her to Dr. Merrit. She is a great doctor. I highly recommend her. She is very thorough and answers all your questions. And most importantly, she is not in a rush to see the next patient, like most doctors. The waiting area and patient rooms are very nice - clean and up to date. The staff is very nice as well. Go see for yourself. You won't be dissapointed. I interviewed a total of 5 places before choosing Dr. Merrit.
