Dr. Christina Marie Mitchell, MD

Dr. Mitchell is straightforward, knowledgeable and listens. She is action oriented and direct. I am often frustrated in our current business first medical system. I did not encounter that with Dr. Mitchell. I encountered a brilliant pragmatic specialist and am pleased. Their office experience from entry to exit is impressive.

Very thorough and attentive. Intelligent and knowledgeable, but very down to earth and easy to speak to. It takes a while to get an appointment, but when you do see her the focus is on you. And she is very quick to respond to emails and messages, and follows through on things completely and rapidly. When she orders a test you have the results and a course of action very quickly. She has helped me tremendously the last couple of years.

Very intelligent and caring. Her follow up is unbelievable. I sent her a non urgent email and she has responded within 15 minutes and it was 7 PM. I am a health care professional. I feel lucky to have her as my doctor.

It's hard to get a routine appointment in less than 2-3 months, but it is so definitely worth the wait. Dr. Mitchell is extremely competent, is easy to talk to, answers questions very thoroughly, listens carefully, describes medications and procedures in easy to understand terms, and is just a very nice person. She makes going to the doctor a pleasant experience, and leaves you feeling that you are in very good hands. She also follows up a visit well, communicating new results by phone or online on MyPennMedicine. Couldn't ask for any better care. So glad I found her.

I have seen Dr. Mitchell 3 or 4 times. She is obviously very intelligent and skilled but, I think, communicates poorly. She prescribes medication and treatment without any room for questions or discussion. And once, in Center City, openly discussed my issues in a public space with other around. It seems to take 3 months to get an appointment in Center City and up to 4 months or more at Valley Forge (and the people I have talked to who answer the phone seem very proud of that). Time to move on to different practitioner.

I saw Dr. Mitchell at the new Berwyn location. The staff there was very friendly and helpful and I saw her exactly when my appointment was scheduled. She is one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. She was asking me questions and writing down my answers and she seemed genuinely interested in helping me with my problems. When I would answer a questions she would immediately follow up with another. I could tell, just talking to her, that she was really listening to every single thing I said and was putting it all together in her head. It sounds crazy, but really I could just tell that was what she is doing. I have been to MANY doctors (neurologists, reproductive specialists, etc.) and Dr. Mitchell is by far the best doctor I have ever met. She called me as soon as she got my blood work back to explain it to me and to let me know she wanted me to start Synthroid the following morning. She went over every single detail about the medication and every detail about why my blood work… was abnormal and what it means. She is very caring. I can't recommend her enough. Seriously, the best.
