Dr. Christina Eve Schroeder, MD

Dr. Schroeder was the chief OBGYN where I gave birth and recovered postpartum in the Kaiser San Leandro hospital. When I experienced significant pain after a c-section and repeatedly told her and her junior physicians, she discounted the pain as a normal part of being post-operative. It made me feel belittled, demeaned, and not heard. Unfortunately, the pain was the first symptom of a life threatening infection. I would never trust Dr. Schroeder with my care again.

I had a traumatic csection experience with my second child and this doctor. Before the csection this doctor didn't seem to be listening to me and didn't seem to understand my physical history before giving advice. During the csection she didn't interact with me at all, unlike a good experience I had had with a prior surgeon. I was in pain, crying, and scared. After the csection the incision didn't heal right and I was in pain with oozing raw tissue on the side of it. I ended up going to therapy to process the whole experience. I'm better now but I had no idea that a surgery experience could vary so much from surgeon to surgeon. And I'm not willing to have more kids because of it.

Had a horrible experience after seeing this doctor at Kaiser Antioch, this Dr. performed a biopsy, without me even having time to consent to and did not provide any explanation of why it was needed, I developed a horrible infection from the procedure that landed me in the hospital, and took me more than 2 months to recover from. My daughter was also seen and mistakenly diagnosed with HPV, which she never had. This is just a short version of what I experienced, which left me traumatized for years after. One star is one to many, I would give her 0 stars if I could
