I've been to many Gastroenterologists. I was referred to Dr. Tennyson by another doctor in her practice that stopped taking my insurance. She was fantastic. Very caring, very old fashioned in terms of her thoroughness. It didn't seem like she was rushing through her patients at all. Overall one of the best physician experiences i've had in a while.

I did not know what to expect during my visit to Columbia University Medical Center's "Celiac Clinic." Dr. Tennyson proceeded to, on a blank piece of paper, inquire about my medical history in a manner that was designed to obtain every little nuance of my health status. She was totally objective as she obtained facts that may relate to a possible diagnosis of Celiac's Disease. Dr. Tennyson was clearly not "predisposed" to obtaining answers from me that would be indicative of Celiac's. This impressed me as I have visited many physicians over the years who are determined to find that for which they are looking. Dr. Tennyson did find some issues that do require follow-up and she is referring me to that specialist. Overall, my experiences with Dr. Tennyson have been among the most positive that I have encountered in the medical profession. I recommend Dr. Tennyson unequivocally.
