Dr. Christine Marie Carr, MD

In my opinion and based on my personal experience, if you are reading these reviews, I urge you to take them seriously and avoid this doctor. In my view, Christine Carr does not deserve to be called a “doctor.” In 2022, I went to the MUSC emergency department and was humiliated and turned away by Christine Carr. I was experiencing serious symptoms at the time, but instead of providing care or conducting a proper medical evaluation, she dismissed my concerns and discharged me without treatment. Thankfully, I am still here today because of the exceptional team at St. Francis Hospital. A physician there personally followed up with me after reviewing my test results and identified critical complications. I was later diagnosed with postpartum eclampsia and a kidney infection—both of which required urgent medical attention. Had I not sought care elsewhere, the outcome could have been much worse. I could have easily pursued legal action, but that is not in my nature. Nonetheless, I believe… it is important to speak up. Christine demonstrated a complete lack of compassion, bedside manner, and medical responsibility.

In my opinion, Christine Carr is a horrible horrible doctor that I had ever met. Dr. Christine Carr is an adult emergency supervisor at MUSC. I had great experiences at MUSC children’s hospital. But today, Christine Carr embarrassed me in front of her staff by making me feel stupid. She don’t deserved to be called a doctor. In my opinion, she didn’t have any bedside manner or compassion as a doctor at all. This is my first review on a doctor. I have never had any bad experiences with any doctors until today. She had this smirk laughed and talked down to you. She told me I had a “white coat syndrome”. I just tried to figure out why I had episodes of freezing cold/shaking and stage 2 blood pressure. Today, my blood pressure went up high. Those numbers were from my MUSC office doctor, EMS, adult emergency check in. But then later it is normal. I am not trying to questions their knowledge or anything. Trying to asked them why I have all those sudden symptoms after my C-section. She then… again talked down on me like I am nobody. I mention it to one of the male nurse from a patient perspective that it is not right to make your patient feels stupid and talked down on them. The male nurse went to talked to her and then she went back in talked to me like I am a stupid child. She told me don’t give my nurse a hard time in front of the nurse. Omg! I have high respect to all the nurses especially I was in nursing school. She twisted everything. I told the male nurse that I am not giving you a hard time but to explained to the male nurse of the way Christine Carr treated me and her bedside manner is horrible. I just don’t understand how someone can be a doctor in that type of behaviors. Wonder why she have so many bad reviews including her students (resident doctors). I will never come back to MUSC adult emergency as long as Christine Carr still there.

Dr. Carr is an extremely irresponsible attending physician at MUSC ED. She does not provide appropriate oversight to residents. Fortunately, I was able to leave MUSC and receive the critical care that I required at another Emergency Room!

Dr. Carr gets right to the point and explains things very well.

Dr. Carr needs to retire. She is rude and doesnt deserve to take away from the good energy at MUSC. I would not recommend Dr. Carr to anyone.
