The secretary Jenn said she couldn't make an appointment unless I had a referral from my insurance company. Then after my insurance rep called to let her know I did not need one, I fax my info over. I then get a call from Jenn saying she reviewed my info with Dr. Castro and since she wouldn't do anything different with my care so she won't take me. I replied that I don't need different care, I needed closer care, and Dr. Castro is listed as taking new patients. Perhaps being receptive to patient information would help this office get their story straight. Just say no. Don't create imaginary reasons. I wanted to change my rheumatology care from Hartford to Chicopee due to time and travel, and had to jump through hoops only to be told she wont take me because she isnt taking new patients.

I had been having severe pain for many years with no one being able to pinpoint the problem. On my first visit Dr Castro took the time to do a thorough examination and was able to determine what was wrong and prescribed a medication and exercise regimen that allows me to walk again and function almost as well as when I was well.

I have been trying to get an appointment with Dr Castro for 4 months ,calling every other week. Spoke to a person twice and they requested more info which was sent but recently no one answers the phone and no one calls me back
