Dr. Christine Maire Cicco-Brown, DO

I went to she Dr. Brown because of a clogged causing loss of hearing, ringing and vibrations. She took a few minutes, very few, and removed some of the wax, which was clearly hard and deeply imbedded. She stopped abruptly and said there was more wax but I could handle it myself with oil drops 2 or 3 times a week. When I stood, I stumbled because of loss of balance, not an uncommon result of ear manipulation. She said nothing and walked out. This took a total of less than 10 min. She was either bored and/or distracted and definitely not interested in doing a thorough examination. When I checked out there was no mention of a doctor recommended oil to use. Nothing, just an effort to have me make an appointment within a year. Consequently, I still have ringing and minor vibrations. I am going to another doctor for a thorough examination. I recommend you do the same.

She did a great job with my dads surgery but was not personable in the least. She didn’t seem like she cared at all to answer any questions pre op and she didn’t even come speak to us after the surgery. She just phoned down and said everything is benign (great news-but would have loved to have a little time face to face to ask more questions). I am an icu nurse so I understand time is limited but all we really needed was 5-10 minutes.

As a new patient I was subjected to a ridiculous process of being herded into a room full of people, no privacy at all, to fill out mounds of paperwork. Once I finally got to see the Dr, she did not listen at all. I told her I had a hearing test less than 2 months prior yet did another one anyway. I went there for crackling and fluid in my ears yet left with her telling me I needed hearing aids!!! She completely ignored my complaints and instead wasted 2 hours of my time, most of which was spent doing the hearing test. Her exam was short and she obviously misdiagnosed the problem. I've since done a ton of research and it seems I need tubes in my ears but won't be going back to her ever.
