Dr. Christine Fisher

I had the extreme good fortune to meet doctor Fisher after I was diagnosed with BRCA2 gene mutation, which significantly increases the likelihood of developing breast cancer. I interviewed multiple plastic surgeons before making the decision to proceed with a double mastectomy and reconstruction with Dr. Fisher. Dr. Fisher spent a great deal of time with me at our initial meeting. She drew pictures of the procedure, explained the stages in detail and answered my questions for more than 90 minutes! I am now looking at this journey in the rear view mirror with a huge smile on my face. I simply don't have the words to express how grateful I am for the technical expertise, compassion and passion for perfection demonstrated by everyone in her practice. I can truly say that my "After" looks even better than my "Before". I am beyond excited to feel so good in my own skin. I have referred several friends to Dr. Fisher and will continue to do so. I am extremely happy with my reconstruction surgery which was done by Dr Christine Fisher. The office staff is also very helpful with scheduling and keeping the Dr informed. It's very hard to pick a surgeon when you are under a lot of stress dealing with cancer and life in general. Dr. Fisher has such an incredible presence that she puts you at ease immediately.Her office is descriptive of what to expect overall; from Corey at the reception desk to every member of her staff, you know that you have arrived at the only place you would want to be at for any surgical procedure! The procedure I came in for, was explained to me in a way that made it sound simple, easy and so convincing that the outcome would not only meet my expectations but exceed them, and it sure did! I couldn’t wait for my surgery date. I had such trust in Dr Fisher. I wasn’t nervous in the slightest because i knew I was in the best hands I could be with in the medical profession. My breast reduction was a turning point in my life, and I’m only 23. She made me feel youthful and confident. Dr Fisher is not only superb surgeon but a n artist extraordinaire. As a medical care professional, I carefully researched prior to choosing a surgeon for my breast augmentation. I considered 4 area surgeons and conducted interviews/ got consults to make my final selection. The professionalism, personal attention, thorough and current medical care, and attentive support staff were head and shoulders above the others. It is with great pleasure that I get to review Dr. Fisher and her staff, AGAIN! Being a 3x cosmetic surgery patient, some may think I have some sort of plastic surgery addiction, but that is not the case. Rather I, like many women, noticed parts of my body that I wanted to improve for myself and myself only, and Dr. Fisher did just that. She listened to my concerns and delivered the results that I asked for: to still look like myself, only “better”. I can go on and on about how great of a surgeon she is, but that is just one part of the process. Dr. Fisher provided the same personalized experience she did for me 4 years ago when I first chose her as my surgeon, and this last time around we picked up right where we left off. Appointments were never rushed and Dr. Fisher always made sure to check up on me emotionally as well, which as a mental-health nurse I highly value. How she can connect to the many clients she sees I will never know, but I can tell that it is one of many qualities… that set her above the rest. I could not end this review without saying something about all the staff that I interacted with. I saw Dr. Fisher’s nurse practitioner Crystal for a post-op appointment and she was just as compassionate as Dr. Fisher. She was attentive and listened to my concern about one of my incisions that turned out to be nothing other than me overreacting, but she was very reassuring and explained all options if I were to have a complication. Claire and Danielle were always friendly both on the phone and in person, and they always got back to my questions promptly. Julie was very welcoming during all my appointments, and I think it’s so cool that she is not only a breast cancer survivor but also a former patient of Dr. Fisher! Overall, I fully trust Dr. Fisher and her staff with my body and if I ever feel the need to be a 4x patient, I will be running back to her office and her office only!

Dr. Fisher performed my DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction immediately following a bilateral mastectomy. I cannot thank her and her staff enough for their care, compassion, and professional support during the preparation and after the surgery. I was truly fortunate to have found a Plastic Surgeon of her skill here in Austin, TX. I just love who she is as a person and as my doctor.

I can't say enough how wonderful my experience was with Dr. Fisher and her team! After making the decision to have a double mastectomy, I was referred to her by my OBGYN. I had my first meeting with Dr. Fisher, and I immediately felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. She explained the procedure in detail, and was at the same time so caring and compassionate. She is a gifted surgeon, and she has given me reconstructed breasts that look amazing! Her assistant, Crystal, is also top notch and very knowledgeable. They are an amazing team! I feel very blessed to have been referred to them, and would recommend them to any woman who is going through this, or anyone looking for a plastic surgeon.
