Dr. Christine Hettinger, OD

Dr. Hettinger's location in South Everett is in a small office just inside the northernmost east entrance to the Fred Meyer store there. Perhaps 30x30, only enough space for a wall display of glasses, a few guest chairs, and a couple of staff. Dr H's office is in the SE corner, it's about 10x10, but she has all of the usual machines packed in there and cycles you through all of them in a careful, deliberate manner. A new machine for me was one that takes a picture of one's eyeball, from which she can tell if you might have more serious conditions developing, and if she thinks that you do, she'll refer you to them, for they have more powerful equipment of that type. At the end, she summarized her findings and walked me out to the staff member to get new glasses. Prices are typical (high), but you won't feel like you're in a jewelry store as previous, much larger offices have felt like, nor will you fee rushed as well as handled by an intermediate staff member (who does all of the tests… as fast as possible, perhaps to get back to social media, with the doctor themselves entering the picture later, not too unlike the procedure at a dental office).
