“My husband’s family is here, and my family is here in Cumberland. We grew up here. We love being on the lake,” Christine said. “I also really wanted to give back to my community, and that’s why I wanted to practice here.”
Christine earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UW-Eau Claire. She entered medicine because she wanted to help people and, as a child, was cared for by nurse practitioners.
“Whenever I was seen by a nurse practitioner as a kid, I thought their jobs seemed so interesting, and I knew that was what I wanted to do,” Christine said.
One of her priorities as a provider is to educate patients about their health.
“I want my patients to be active participants in their health,” Christine said. “I want …them to lead happy, healthy lives, and the best way for that to happen is for patients to really take ownership of their health.”
To patients, Christine strives to be kind, welcoming and understanding. While she enjoys all aspects of her practice, she especially likes working with children.
