Dr. Christine Marie Mackie, MD

I arrived at my scheduled 4:00 appointment at 3:30 but was told the Doctor had to leave because her daughter was sick. I even signed in. I was patient and understanding and rescheduled. When I called a few days later for a medication refill, the young girl that answered the phone said I was lying and did not show 30 minutes early therefore they closed early. Even though when I arrived at 3:30, I was told there was an emergency and had to be rescheduled. She kept interrupting me as I attempted to explain that I was there but the Doctor left on an emergency, she repeatedly like a child saying, "yeah, okay, no, okay" over and over again while I was politely trying to speak. I literally felt like I was arguing with a 13 year old girl. I even signed in as proof I was there at 3:30 for my 4:00 appointment. I then requested my medical records so I can find a new Doctor and she refused them. I could not get a word in as she berated me and was abusive and extremely argumentative and… childlike. I have not yet met the Doctor, nor will I from this experience, but this specific support staff young woman needs a strict reprimand or termination. I have NEVER been treated this way in a business or medical environment. I am literally dumbfounded by the experience. The conversation had me seriously shaken to the core.

This is my opinion only and is based on experiences and interactions that I have had with Dr. Mackie and her staff. I fully understand that everyone has different experiences and views. I have been a patient since 2013 and I always thought that Christine Mackie MD was a decent physician, but a lousy manager of people. I am unsure that I believe that she is a decent physician anymore. The office staff have been and continue to be horrible, LIARS LIE. I am saddened to say that I am no longer a patient of Christine Mackie, MD.

Booked appointment with Dr Mackie who advised me to come into the office to get checked for high blood pressure which was confirmed by her nurse. I never had any follow up. There is no availability or follow up on test results with this office. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

After leaving messages for over a week for Dr. Mackie to return my calls concerning life threatening test results, the receptionist finally told me the doctor had been "out with her back".

Here servant Megan is a air head and never ever gives anyone their messages.. Been waiting 3 1/2 weeks for my Med refills . I keeep calling calling . They never ever answer their phone calls either

This has to be the worst office I've ever seen for canceling appointments. Between my husband and I, we made half a dozen or more appointments; only one of which was kept. Every time we would show up, her staff would tell us she wasn't there and claim that they had called us to reschedule. We never received a single call. Then, she refused to refill our prescriptions until we came in for an office visit. She wouldn't keep her appointments, and then refused to let us have our necessary medications because we hadn't seen her in a few months!?! WTH?? WORST. DOCTOR. EVER.

I had an appt for 3 pm arrived at 250 leaving work early to make the appt. The receptionist says Dr cant see me because I needed to be here at 2:30. There was not one patient in the waiting room. I explained to the girl my blood pressure was high and feeling very dizzy . I told her I waited for this appt. She said it would take to long to fill it the paper work out and the they would have to input it in there system. I was there before my approval time and should have been able to see the dr. The recpitionint Megan was very rude . All the time she wanted scheduling my next appt could have taken 1 minute to ask dr if she could see me. I dont even believe the dr was there but the receptionist took it apoun her self. My time is just as valuable as anyone else.3 pm was the appt time and I was there before it. This should have never happened. I believe this made of had to do with some decrimanting.

Dr. Mackie is the salt of the earth. She truly cares and takes the time to listen. That is rare these days. She is worth the drive from Pine Island!!!

I understand why Dr. Mackie received the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award. I've been going to her for several years now, and she is the best. Hubby goes there too and loves her. The staff does a great job of dealing with the pressures of juggling patient care and the medical insurance nightmare. Please remember if she's running late, there's a good reason why she won that award 3 years in a row.
