Dr. Christine Marie Veenstra, MD

Dr. V helped us after my brother's diagnosis. It was a rough time for us. She made time to speak to me, to my parents, anyone in the family who had questions. Really grateful for everything she did.

Dr. Veenstra is attentive, knowledgeble, and very focused on her patients. She always has time for your questions, and makes sure you understand your options.

I'm saddened by her lack of empathy and compassion and willingness to work with, and for, her patients. Dr. Veenstra seems to do that least that she has to and doesn't have that "we're in it to win it" attitude. To put it mildly, she is not a people person, which could be overlooked by some. However, her lack of knowledge with new treatment options is startling. She's rarely prepared, and never goes over CT scans or has them up to review. I feel she briefly brushes over the final notes. A cancer diagnosis, for anyone, at any age, is life changing and very traumatic. If you are looking for a doctor that has your best interest at heart, both mentally and medically, this is not the doctor for you.
