Dr. Mjelde grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and graduated from U.C. Davis with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences in 1981. He received his D.M.D. in 1985 from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis where he received highest honors in restorative dentistry.
Prior to moving to Santa Barbara, Dr. Mjelde had a successful family practice in Santa Rosa, California. Dr. Mjelde enjoys all aspects of cosmetic dentistry, implant, crown and bridge prosthetics and removable prosthetics.Â
Dr. Mjelde is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Santa Barbara/Ventura County Dental Society. He is an active member of the Santa Barbara Seattle Study Club; a group of dentists dedicated to interdisciplinary treatment planning of complex cosmetic dental reconstructions.
In his leisure time Dr. Mjelde enjoys golf, gardening and spending time with his wife, Judi and their two kids, …Taryn and Tanner.
